 My name is Jake Parker and today I'm testing the DPS Whaler 100 with the

 Alchemist construction. I don't work for DPS at all this is just a personal

 review of my time on this ski. So the Whaler 100 is a do-it-all west coast

 all-mountain ski. This is the Alchemist construction which means that this

 version of the Whaler has a lot more carbon in it and so it's a more

 expensive ski. With that comes some weight savings and also some stability

 at high speed. I'll go on a limb and I think that this ski is worth $1,200. This

 is the type of ski that I would ski every single day of the winter if I only

 had one pair. It's exceptionally easy to ski but can hold up to any expert skier

 no problem. DPS Whaler comes in a bunch of sizes. This is the 100 millimeter

 top-notch construction and durability. I have several friends that have owned

 pairs for years now and they hold up great so I was very excited to ski this

 and I will be trying out a few more pairs of DPS skis over the next couple

 days. The Whaler is an exceptionally versatile ski but it's definitely not

Updating a top-selling model is risky business, but we think Nordica nailed last year’s revamp of the Enforcer line. The mid-width “94,” which replaced the outgoing 93-millimeter ski, is our favorite of bunch thanks to its sturdy yet fun personality. Notable tweaks to the design, including greater use of carbon fiber and a lighter-weight front end that features less plastic and more wood, increased versatility. The result is that the ski has lots of pop as you combine turns on and off trail, grips exceptionally well on hardpack, and still can put a lot of power down with two sheets of metal. In testing the ski, one standout trait we kept coming back to was its natural and predictable performance. From the very first run, we felt completely comfortable: the ski is surprisingly easy to turn, excels at a range of speeds, and hits a sweet spot in width for true coast-to-coast appeal. The Nordica Enforcer 94 is our favorite ski for carving and ranks well overall in our all-mountain lineup. The Enforcer 94's Carbon Chassis and TWO Sheets of metal combine to create our favorite blend of edge grip, rebound, and overall precision while carving at higher speeds. Coming in at a versatile turn radius of 17.1 meters, we found it intuitive in shorter SL and longer GS turns. While the Enforcer is ideal for carving on the groomers, it also provides excellent versatility across the mountain in all snow conditions.
The adjustments made for the 2021-2022 model include Nordica's Carbon Chassis and True Tip technologies. Along with a slightly wider 94-millimeter waist width, the Enforcer 94 gains slightly better off-piste performance than its predecessor's 93-millimeter width underfoot. Despite these improvements, this ski can be challenging to pilot through heavy or deep powder. Skiers spending lots of time in softer or deeper snow may be better suited with a ski that is wider. But for the more experienced skier looking to tip and rip across most snow conditions, look no further than the Enforcer 94.
