 I'm 650 kilometers in now to using these pedals. I haven't done any maintenance on them at all and they're absolutely fine. The axles are nice and straight, they haven't been out of shape, the bearings are absolutely fine, the body of the pedal itself is absolutely fine, other than a couple of marks where I've smashed them off some rocks and the pins are all still nice and straight. Like I said before, the pins are quite wide, which means they're super super strong

 I want to be careful when I say this because I don't want it to sound like I don't like the pedals. I do. I think they're great, but they're just not wide enough for me. They are at their widest point in the middle of the pedal, but the front and back of the platform

 I have the magnesium ones and they weigh in at 386 grams for the pair. Including the pins, there's 22 pins per pedal, 11 pins per side, all of which are replaceable. I've been riding with the vaults now for just over 650 kilometers and so far they've been really good. There's a good level of grip

DMR Vault Flat Pedal Review

I have had two sets of these same pedals on two separate bikes and have come to the same conclusion. Although lightweight and well built they both suffered within a couple of weeks of pedal vibration and squeaks. This is due to the small amount of grease used and that the bearing near the crank arm is plastic, this wears very quickly I had to get a repair kit within a few months.

DMR Vaults

Good platform, but really poor internals. Outside cartridge bearing and crank side DU bushing, but the bushing creeps out and the seal is terrible. Even when the bushing is properly in place (I pressed it in) the seal doesn’t seat and it moves away easily, you lose grease quickly and after one wet ride you better pull apart and service. I only rode it twice, and the bushing had crept, it was bone dry, there was play and it made a terrible squeak

OneUp Components may not have the most creative names for their pedals, but the Aluminum impressed our testers. These lightweight alloy flat pedals have a large, 114 x 104mm platform with ten well-placed bottom loading traction pins per side. We were awed by their grip both on the descent and the climbs, and the platform size provided a balanced and supportive feel for a huge range of foot sizes. The pedal's profile is thin, with 8.8mm thick leading and trailing edges and a 12.1mm thick body at the axle. While we were enamored with the Aluminum pedals, we did have a couple of minor complaints. While we found a lot to love about the Aluminum, we still found some nits to pick. Due to the high level of grip, testers agreed that the ability to move or reposition the foot is somewhat limited. We think it sounds a little silly to call these pedals "too grippy," but if foot mobility is a priority, you may want to look elsewhere. The bearing bulge on the inboard side of the platform on the spindle may also present some issues for some riders. Beyond that, we feel these sleek, lightweight, and grippy pedals are some of the best we tested.

 I bought 3 of these and all of them squeak within a week. Some you can hear every pedal, some only when pedaling softly or slowly. Still, annoying!  I love the low profile but the pins are such that the overall shape is convex, not concave, so there's too much pressure focused on the center of your foot and not around it, which is not good for grip actually!  Overall I think the design needs some work. So close, but so far

The friction and shape bother me

 Pedals are on heavy side. Also, pedals needed to be heavily oiled after first ride due to loud squeak. For 140 bucks I give these 2 stars. RaceFace far better

Pins fall out easily

I am one of those who believes price reflects quality. But in this case, you get so much quality for cheap! I don't mean "cheap" as in fragile. I mean affordable! These pedals perform as well as others double in price! And they look awesome too!

 the grip is unbelievable..!  no matter how your foot steps on it, believe me: it will stay in! since I got these pedals I had adjusted my riding style.

. similar to when you start using clipson: to carefully position your foot back into the pedal the right way!

Amazing Grip!

 I looked at many other brands but no one seemed to have the pin placement I wanted, in the color I wanted, and not cost an arm and a leg. Other even more expensive brands were on the table, I just didn't see the cost/benefit over OneUp. I love their carbon bars so OneUp for my pedals it is. I give them 5 stars because I can only judge them based on their weight at this point

They look good and feel good.

 My shoes stick well to the pedals. The larger footprint is more comfortable for me as I have wide feet (EE width). Overall very happy with the purchase, time will ultimately be the test of durability.
