The DJI Air 2S is our top pick for most drone users. It strikes a great balance between features and price, and in some cases outperforms much more expensive models. Its small size makes it good for travel, yet it's intuitive enough for anyone to fly.
Most notably, the Air 2S includes a camera with a 1"-type sensor, a feature previously reserved for models costing hundreds of dollars more. It captures 5.4K/30p video and 20MP photos in Raw or JPEG format, and DJI's Smartphoto feature uses computational photography techniques to deliver very high quality images. A new feature called Mastershots will even shoot a series of video clips and automatically edit them together for sharing. Pilots are aided by DJI's APAS 4.0 (Advanced Pilot Assistance System), which uses obstacle avoidance sensors to navigate around objects in the drone's path.

 Folding up the controller is very simple, all you do is pull your phone out, unplug the provided cable, take the joysticks, unscrew them. They have a nice storage compartment right here on each side, put the cable in a little slot right here, and then you fold up the arms like so then your antenna go and fold up like that and you're good to have this stored for your next flight. Now looking at the features here, of course you have your two joysticks, you have your home button, you have your power button right here, antenna on the top, you have still photos and recording either is 2.7k or 1080p whichever you prefer and then you also Have your camera tilt knob right here as well

 The remote control that comes with the drone is very compact and lightweight. Very simple to design and it utilizes a smartphone like an iphone or Android and comes with the proper cables to actually run it and also has a charging port on the side that's integrated with the cable that connects right to your phone, which provides a nice seamless connectivity to your drone during flight time.  So if you keep it in your pocket, just be aware you might be breaking some propellers or bend them. And we'll talk about a situation where these propellers do bend and it gives you an error message. And it happened to me and I'll show you how I fixed that as well some of the features on the drone itself. We already talked about the camera power buttons right here

 Hey guys, thanks for tuning in! So this has been about a year-long test and evaluation of this Dji Mavic Mini. The Dji Mavic Mini is an impressively small and very lightweight drone coming in right at 249 grams, which in many countries allows it to not need a registration attached to it, so you can just buy one of these and start flying right away. Now what's really fascinating about it is how it is constructed As being such a small drone, you definitely lose some features you get with the bigger drones, but at the same time you have this nice compact drone that is definitely feature packed and has enough power to do most of what you're trying to do with the drone at more of a beginner level. Now, it is a hard plastic body with plastic arms on all of the quads here, but you also have foam inserts to help lighten it up quite a bit

 So in terms of camera capability, I would say the footage is nice and it really reminds me of the Spark. It's a bit over sharpened and saturated, but that's not bad at all, especially considering the lack of flat color profile on this drone. so 99% of the people using this drone can get away without ever grading their footage.  So one of my very first impressions when flying the Maverick Mini was the range.  I Then realised I'm asking way too much from the drone, expecting it to fly like my medic-2 Pro which has definitely spoiled me. so I Remember the old days of owning the Spark and the Mavic Air and remembered that you had to be really careful and selective where you fly if you want to have good range. going outside the city where the drone automatically switches to 2.4 gigahertz easily boost your maximum range up to 2 kilometers and I was able to easily achieve that range and I felt I could push the drone even more if I wanted to

 Professional pilots won't find much use in the mini rather than the small size, but sometimes that's all you need. Something light and portable that can do the job without tons of tweaks and customization options. For that, the mini is perfect, so I'm really interested to hear what you guys have to say about the Mavic Mini, so please let me know your thoughts in the comment section below.   It isn't able to unlock the flight restriction sometimes so if you live near an airport you won't be able to fly. I'm not sure if they banned me from flying or what but this makes this $500 drone a piece of junk. Resetting the app sometimes fixes this but this glitch is frustrating and drains the battery as I try to work it out.  Also the range is stated for 4km but the furthest I got was 1

 That's about a mile which is good for this little drone but I was flying at 150m which is above the 120m legal limit and if I flew with just the controller without the range extenders it probably wouldn't have gone much over 1km. Also the signal can sometimes go bad as less than 100 meters which can be such a disappointment because I expected for the price the range to be good for atleast 1km without range extenders.  Something just recently happened and it just fell down from the sky but luckily into the grass and not the concrete. It said it had a motor error as it descended and fell spiraling down from the sky

I've had many drones $100 and under that I could fly anywhere I wanted but they all eventually malfunctioned and flew away never to return. Then I get the Mavic mini for $500 hoping it would not have the same problem as my cheaper drones but it wouldn't even let me fly it at all because I live near an airport and needs authorization in the app which is extremely difficult and complicated to get and I will probably never unlock it and be able to fly it unless I drive miles away from my house away from the no fly zones. Biggest disappointed I have had in a while. They say you get what you pay for but with DJI I basically spent half a grand and got nothing because it's a useless piece of junk that won't fly because the app restriction

 I really couldn't complain about much. Be sure to watch a lot of videos and reviews on YouTube before buying. This really is a serious aircraft, and it could hurt someone it you flew it recklessly. Be careful and fly safe!

Simply AMAZING

 Battery life is good, Definitely like the price of extra batteries, having 3 is way better than 1. It is so much quieter than the phantom. With the phantom people always know when your flying it and people are always looking. But with this little thing no one even pays attention, even the park ranger didnt bother me

Very fun beginner drone!

Great starter drone and very easy to understand how to use. There are plenty of resources online to help guide you. There was only 1 thing that really bothered me. DJI should provide at least 1 power adapter when buying their product instead of only offering it in $100 fly more kit

If you dont get an power adapter you will have to go buy a quick charger that charges at 18V. The battery is shipped in hibernation mode if you dont have the right charger you will never get over 2 charging lights and the drone will not fly

Great product

 The no-fly maps are easy to navigate. Great price for the value, great video quality including stabilization. Fly into the wind so the drone is being assisted by the wind when flying back home. Has been useful doing inspections of the roof and gutter at our house, and keeping away birds this Spring
