The DJI Air 2S is our top pick for most drone users. It strikes a great balance between features and price, and in some cases outperforms much more expensive models. Its small size makes it good for travel, yet it's intuitive enough for anyone to fly.

You can select an object on your screen and select one of the tools that you want to use

DJI Mavic 3 Review

For most people you won't need proress at all so don't stress for it. DJI have massively overpriced the SSD in fact it is more then what Apple charge for storage and they overcharge a heck of a lot. This is how companies make money and it's been that way for years. Peripherals and adds-ons are always a companies biggest money maker

ND FIlters: DJI ND filters are average at best and once again the consumer is paying 4x what they are worth. The glass they use in these filters pale in comparison to some that are coming out now at a lower price. Polor Pro may be overpriced as well but they use quality materials and companies like B&W don't make Mavic 3 filters so not much choice either way.

Pluses for me are the size and portability. I have been transporting tons of gear with me for years so It's not really a hassle but if I wanted to go out to the woods or something hulking around my Inspire or M600 is a definite NO thanks! Yes the image quality is infinitely better the Mavic 3 but sometimes I do like to chill with a Air2s or Autel Evo 6k.

 Another thing that might be worth considering is maybe the CINE package even though terribly overpriced is worth it to you if you can write most of it off through taxes. Myself I put EVERYTHING through my accountant and save tons of £££ a year.

 Also you have zero control over photos and videos on the zoom lens. Auto only mode and JPG only. Maybe fixable in a firmware update? Also, you can't do a full 1x-28x or vice versa smoothly, at one or two points the recording blacks out (while switching lenses?) It is also near impossible to zoom with your finger on the app and do other things smoothly (especially if you have a hood on your tablet), which is the only way to do it unless you shelled out the extra 1200 for the “pro” controller.  5) Gimbal rubs against arms when folded up  6) No dual controller support (maybe this could be a firmware update?)  Issues that I found right off that bat that might be able to be updated in firmware if DJI chose to do so (that hands down should be available in a pro drone)  1) No color graded preview for DLOG on your tablet/phone

Pro Drone or not Pro Drone?

This may be controversial here but as a working professional drone operator, the Mavic 3 cine model and combo is not overly priced for what you get. I wish I could have gotten rid of the bag from the combo though. As soon as this drone gets to me it’s going straight into a pelican case and I’m going to sell that bag to off set the cost of the pelican case.

 It is also a 4:3 sensor, which means your photos are no longer in 3:2 aspect ratio. With increase in sensor size, you get better noise handling, richer detail, greater dynamic range, reduced diffraction, and better control over depth of field — effectively better image quality all around.

 Out of all those improvements over the Mavic 2 Pro, the one I noticed the most was the battery life.  

ISO handling has also been improved. Some of the photos taken with ISO 1600 or 3200 look better than I expected them to. When comparing it directly with the Mavic 2 Pro, there are significant improvements with clarity in objects further away in the frame, and the overall noise grain looks a lot smaller. 

But when it comes to ProRes video, don’t expect any major noticeable improvements.  Looking at the same clips shot in ProRes and H.264 codec, it’s very hard to pick out any changes. ProRes is really here for professional filmmakers who are dependent on filming and delivering assets in ProRes

..where is the battery percentage for the controller displayed?  The whole new change to how battery information is displayed is just ugly, its harder to read, the tiny dial at the top right shows drone battery but it's just small and not very useful.

Put about 1000 miles or 350 flights on my mavicn2 pro over the past few years, its been amazing never any issues.

Mavic 3 - some dissapointments

 For this model line and price this is as good as it gets. Battery life is perfect. I get so much time on this battery my legs hurt from standing. I only have one battery though

 Sad for what you pay. My advice is to get a full set of OEM props. I heard some after market props fly apart inflight. Not what I want for 2000 bucks
