 Okay, so working through the main features, your main access points so how you get into the pack. This uses kind of clamshell zip, which goes all the way around and do those two little compression straps at the side, unzip that all the way around, and it means you can literally open the whole front of the pack up get into the contents. Without you know having to dive into a drawcord at the top, so really quick and easy to get into almost opens up like a duffel on a suitcase, and you can also get into the bottom of the pack through a separate compartment here. So you've got a zip compartment

 It just makes locking the load into position a lot better, hydration wise you get an internal hydration sleeve and the pipe comes out in the middle of the back here, and you can run your hydration tube over either shoulder strap depending on your personal preference. There'S a couple of loops on either side and then you've got your top tension of straps, which just helps to balance the load. Keep the pack pulled into your back if it's, but if it's got a lot of stuff in it and then finally down on the front here, you've got your ice axe loop and your toggle attachment here. So if you're using this in winter - and you want to take a walking axe with you there - you go there's your attachment point loop and toggle there

 So I could stick my hand right. The way through here so you've got loads of room between the pack and your back, which means the air can circulate and move around and just helps to relieve that kind of sweaty cold back syndrome. It won't start you from sweating only quite unpleasant and nasty, and intricate surgery will do that. But it does mean that if you're wearing a good technical base layer and good technical clothing layers, it will reduce that sort of horrible clammy feeling you get against you back and keep that air flowing around

 You'Ve got a seamless air mesh running right. The way through from the back panel through into the hips I just didn't, do that you can see it better. So that means there's less rubbing less chafing less areas to you know cause you grief. So you get this flowing seamless back panel here and then you get spacer mesh throughout the hip belt and the shoulders

Alternative to the discontinued Mountain Hardware Wandrin 28L?

I wanted a pack with inside water storage as I snowshoe in -30 C days also. However with 2L of water and basic necessary gear for a summer day hike in the Rockies where it's always necessary to take a down coat and a tarp, this pack is too small. My biggest issue is the hole for the bite valve is incredible small, I had to cut it to allow the valve to go to the outside! I'll keep my 32 L Asolo for the winter trips.

Stratos/Sirrus® — Day Hiking, Backpacking — Product Tour

I have a Stratos 34 from the same website, Trekkinn. I've bought from them previously as they end up being cheaper than buying here in NA, even after shipping and taxes are included. The bag has tags and they say Made In Vietnam along with the Osprey Europe adress in the Netherlands.

Did I receive a counterfeit Osprey Stratos 36 bag?

  The Zulu 30 has much better designed pockets for stowing gear and small items like keys, wallet, and identification. I selected the Stratos because it is shorter and it seemed to fit better as I am 5’ 7”, but it is so poorly organized that I am thinking of trying to sell it and buy the Zulu 30.  Also the shorter Stratos means you cannot fit a 3 liter water pouch in the bag.  Even a 2 liter pouch will take up so much space that the top pocket is rendered useless

Poor Design

 Alright, let's talk about the bag. let's turn it over on its back in like a lot of the Osprey bags that I have in love, it has the airspeed system and what essentially this is is it's that light wire frame that goes on the inside of the pack and it creates this trampoline kind of effect. And what that really does is it keeps a lot of air going through the back of the bag and essentially keeps your back dry. And that's one of the reasons why I love Osprey bag so much now

 I will not go into soap I've kind of been nitpicking this bag a little bit, but there's one thing that really bothers me about the back. So really, you know. The biggest complaint I have about this bag is is these compression straps right here. the zippers on the top

OSPREY STRATOS 34 - THE GOOD AND THE BAD

 This is how those work. See that, just pull that and it just takes. That upper strap pulls it up, gives it a little more comfort there on your shoulders. Sternum strap right here in the middle

 Maybe a bottle of sunscreen could fit in there I Found that my iPhone 7 and you obviously gonna have a different phone but that actually happens. You fit, it's a little tight, it's a little tight in there but look at that and it's just kind of the corner get. you have to kind of push the corner down but there you go and get the phone actually fits right in there I think they updated these I think a few years ago they were small like a pocket. more like that and people were frustrated

 That upper strap pulls it up, gives it a little more comfort there on your shoulders. Sternum strap right here in the middle. Adjustable goes up or down like that does. have the whistle on it

What We Don’t One of the heaviest daypacks on the market at 2 pounds 12 ounces, and the rigid frame means it can’t pack down small. This is not a minimalist pack. All the features, cushioning, and structure are overkill for day hikers who don’t need the bells and whistles. Expensive for a daypack at $140

 There are downsides to the design—the frame and features make it heavy—but purely from a comfort perspective, the Stratos is a true standout. Weight The Stratos 24 tips the scales at 2 pounds 12 ounces, which makes it one of the heaviest daypacks among those with similar mid-20-liter capacities. For reference, Osprey’s popular Talon 22 is much lighter at 2 pounds 1 ounce (for the S/M size), Gregory’s Inertia 25 is 1 pound 9.4 ounces, and CamelBak’s Fourteener 26 is 2 pounds 5 ounces

 Stacked up against the Stratos 24, the Sirrus 24 shares the same overall design but with a women’s-specific fit and different available colorways. Like the men’s versions, the Sirrus lineup also is offered in 26, 36, and 50-liter capacities (although there’s no 34L option). We haven’t tested the women’s Sirrus just yet, but given the nearly identical build, we’d expect to have similar praise about the pack’s suspended mesh backpanel, impressive on-trail comfort, and excellent feature set. What We Like Very comfortable for hauling a full day’s worth of gear and food
