 I turned the thermostat to the coldest setting a few days later and it still didnt get any colder I put an infrared thermometer on it and the coldest it would get is 40 degrees. I got busy and didn't have time to deal with it at the moment. A few months went by and I had enough.  A week after install, the unit still wasn't cold enough to make ice and the freezer didn't really freeze very solid. I called the store and they connected me to LG who sent a technician out. The tech told me this model of fridge was a nightmare and there was a whole lawsuit against LG with this because the unit fails and can't really be fixed. He couldn't find the issue, so he tried to report to LG that it was not fixable but they told him to replace the compressor, refill the coolant, and see if it worked

what a trash device. #1 there is literally no room for drinks (tall bottles) or large ketchup containers if you have a bunch of drinks. true you can drop the shelf a bit to make room for larger bottles but then you lose space under that shelf because it came down. #2 door shelves are small and if you have alot of condiment type things you will be placing those on the shelves
