Cuisinart CTG-00-SSAS vs OXO Good Grips Salad Spinner

My prepared salads last about a week in the fridge! My neighbor even asked how I always get my lettuce so dry lol! I love, love, LOVE this salad spinner!

There’s no reason except the company’s cheapness that they’re not. The inner bowl isn’t as easy to clean and it will break sooner than the metal outer bowl. Same goes with the top, the spinner mechanism and lid. I believe reviewers who have said it broke with minimal involvement from them

All parts are sturdy thick plastic that will certainly last for years of use. One of the best kitchen devices I've ever bought. I would even consider giving it as a gift, that's how much I like it.

The product does what it's supposed to do, but after about 10 trips through the dishwasher the plastic ball warped and bent out of shape (product says dishwasher safe). Amazingly, as long as you squeeze the top on it still does an effective job, but I was disappointed in the plastic bowl. I do have a very good brand new dishwasher, too, so I know it's not a faulty appliance.

Once I got it going, it did a good job of removing the water. Thought I was going to break it the first few times or that the product was defective or something! It doesn't appear that it is. That's simply the design. Speaking of design, one of the issues as to why it didn't spin easily, was there is a bolt on the inside of the top

Another thing that struck me right away was the sturdy strainer. It is really quite strong and you could easily use this for your daily vegetable wash.

PERFORMANCE: This salad spinner works ok. You have to be careful with it. If the inner bowl is a little bit crooked, then when you put the lid on, it won't be lined up right, and you'll have to adjust it and put the lid on again. Sometimes I have to adjust it several times before it will line up for me

It didn't spin or dry as effectively for me. I knocked off a star due to that, but it's absolutely a 5⭐️ for someone who is using this for a multiple people or larger amounts. I ended up returning this, and switching it out for the OXO smaller salad spinner which is perfect for my needs.

The price is reasonable and it is bigger than the old one. This particular salad spinner is so much better than my old one. It's bigger, the spinning action is so much smoother, and the clear plastic makes it easy to see what's going on in there when I'm washing the greens. I'll never find sand in my spinach again! I've only had it for about a week, but it seems durable and certainly has more "fit and finish" than the old one

Like everything else now, make it cheaper but maintain the price or raise it. Buyer beware. We love salad spinners and this one does work save the above notes.

This product is very good quality, and is the perfect size for 1-2 people (not like the "giant" one I had that I brought to the consignment store). Well made, sturdy, and appears that it will last forever! Happy with purchase and would definitely recommend..

Don’t be cheap and buy a plastic bowl. Spend extra for the real deal! It’s heavy, just note that. You may not like the extra weight, or it may be tiring for you to wash in the sink, or may slide out of your hands. But no more nasty plastic! I dry the greens and then dress and toss the salad right inside the glass bowl and serve

3. Size perfect for two people and easier to store. Most other spinners are way to big for us.

I had a smaller one for quite a few years and it broke. Purchased this one without reading and it is way too big for my family. You need to make sure the basket is level before putting on the lid, it tends to tilt.
