CRKT Minimalist Cleaver
The packaging was simple but very nice. It was a green CRKT small box that had the brand written in white. Sturdy cardboard and very satisfying to open. The unit inside was placed inside a plastic sleeve in it's plastic carry sheath. It came with a belt clip and lanyard and can only be mounted longw...

The blade is 9 1/4" long with the perfect amount of flex to filet and skin 15 lb
For 12 bucks you can't go wrong. The blade is 9 1/4" long with the perfect amount of flex to filet and skin 15 lb. catfish in two steps. The handle is very ergonomic and has a slightly sticky grip even when wet or oily and has Kershaw engraved on one side and an undecipherable mark with 1259 on the ...

Beware of Warranty

Durability

CRKT Minimalist cleaver
Great little knife. Would make a great gift.
Great little knife. Comes razor sharp. Sheath is secure but if I comes loose I will just heat the plastic and push together to make it tighter again. Highly recommended, especially for under $30. Also very small so keep that in mind.

Kershaw 9" Fillet Knife 1259
The Kershaw 9-Inch Fillet Knife with sheath is a good value.
The Kershaw Fillet Knife with sheath is a good value -- quality, performance and cost. The 9-inch blade is very useful for larger fillets, although for small fillets it requires some care during use. The knife "clicks" into the sheath and stays in-place, even when carried in luggage. The knife maint...
