Aventus is the original, which I would also recommend over this version. “Aventus Cologne” was released in 2019 as a fresher version of the original Creed Aventus. The original Aventus was released in 2010. I recommend anyone interested go smell them both at Nordstrom, they’re both very similar but I prefer the original

 These are just some pros and cons that I see when looking at this fragrance in 2022. I don't think the newer batches, at least from my perspective, perform as well. But very negligible differences from my nose that if you are not that familiar with Aventus, you're not going to go crazy and be like, oh, this is not Aventus. If you're smelling it for the first time, this is still Aventus, no matter what bottle I think you're getting

 But it is, I think, different from many people that are more into it. Of course, I am not like the biggest Aventus acolyte. So I will let some people in the comments say their own feelings about Aventus in 2022. But I wanted to address this topic because people are still very much interested in this fragrance

 I thought that was a requirement for having a fragrance channel, but I get why it's so hyped. It's mass appealing. It has a versatile element to it that can be worn year round. It smells sophisticated and opulent

 And I think just the composition is well done. It's a defining fragrance and kind of defines this last 10 years of fragrances and kind of what has really taken off. And when you can influence other designers from the niche perspective, I think that is an indication that you're doing something right. So I get why Aventus is so loved

I had never smelled it before and I couldn’t find it in stores, after a while I just decided to buy it. I was expecting to be blown away and in my opinion, it’s a a good smell but, definitely not worth the price..

At almost $500 a bottle ever batch should smell like the original! the one that made history, as the so called best smelling fragrance ever for men, creed it's missing the wonderful pineapple notes. So Sad!

 It's rich, it's sophisticated, yet versatile. And I will say, it's a very unique scent, but one that still can be worn by a lot of guys. Now, how does it arrive at this scent? It does so with a combination of top notes of pineapple, blackcurrant, apple and bergamot, mid notes of birch, patchouli, Moroccan jasmine, and rose, and base notes of musk, oakmoss, ambergris, and vanilla. All combined to give you this rich, fresh, yet sweet and smoky scent

 When you first buy it, it smells great. But I know those months down the road, it starts to smell even better. Now, my theory on that is that because it has a lot of natural ingredients, the natural ingredients start to settle and you get a better scent over time. Just my theory

 Now, in many circles, Creed Aventus is considered a modern masterpiece. Many will tell you it's one of the greatest men's fragrances of all time, if not the best. This is fake, I repeat don't buy it at all, it don't even last 5 minutes and just smell like citrus water, it was a complete waste of money and not worthed at all.  Like it smells like you got game and you're good at what you do and you do it effortlessly. You know what I mean? So whether you're a guy, a girl, whoever, if you just wanna smell like that, this fragrance is a nice one to go for. Now, a long time ago, well, not a long time ago, it hasn't even been a year yet, but I did a video comparing this and Club de Nuit Intense Woman by Armof. It's right here

 But again, remember that it's not gonna have a long scent trail. It's not gonna have great projection. It is meant to be something that's intimate, close to you so that when you have a cuddle session or whatever you plan to do, you can rock this fragrance. To me, this is super romantic and people have described this as a Valentine's day in a bottle type of fragrance

 The thing is, this is a unique fragrance, but it's a familiar type of smell, definitely amped up. Like this has that classy, sophisticated type of vibe that it's definitely oozing off, but it's that scent that just makes, like it's so alluring to smell and it just draws people in. When I have worn this fragrance, I have had so many people in my neck because it just radiates so nicely, especially when they're in your scent bubble. You know what I mean? If you love physical contact, if you love hugs and all that sort of stuff and you've got this fragrance on, those hugs are gonna last a very, very, very long time

 It's so beautifully blended and that dark chocolate smell is just, oh God, it's so seductive, it's attractive, it's sexy. This is a fragrance you wear if you want somebody just like with their tongue on your neck, it's that good. This scent, when I myself wear it, I would fall in love with myself. I'm like, damn, I smell fantastic

 They lady who sprays six times probably doesn't know how to use or bought a knock off. If you want your smells to last long maybe you should moisturize so you skin doesn't soak up the smell too fast. This needs to mixed with another scent tone it down.

This is an extremely sweet scent. I bought it and now going to sell it. It smells good for about an hour then it just too sweet. I feel trapped like when you were young inside someone's minivan as they sprayed too much perfume on

 It's quite apparent. First of all, I thought it was something completely different. I thought it was something like luxe alone and then it changed. But it absolutely has this sort of tea note to it, it's quite apparent

 Fruit molecules, acetates, domesco molecules, and then there's sort of slight amounts of camphor in it. You can sort of smell the camphor and camphor smells of mothballs, but it trace amounts, you sort of can detect it, so it gives elevation. Interestingly camphor, when it's mixed with cashmarin and other sort of ambry molecules, turns really acidic, turns horrible. But when it's used in a formulation like this, it gives elevation and sort of dryness, like dryness to it

 So I had to give me something like muscone, musconone. Musconone apparently smells of the natural musk that we have as human beings. And I don't know quite how I feel about that. I don't think that's true

 There is a dry, woody note in the middle and that smells similar to oud wood. Sort of there's a slight similarity, absolutely not with all the floral notes and everything, not at all. But the way that the oud accord in the Tom Ford oud wood was composed is similar to this. Very nice

Perfumer Reviews 'Noir de Noir' by Tom Ford

Just want to discuss Tom Ford Noir de Noir and why it has become my new favourite fragrance. Recently, my partner bought me a surprise 100ml bottle of this as I have been eyeballing it for some time and tried the Armaf alternative which is still a great smell, but the OG is a different animal altogether.

Tom Ford Noir de noir: She is here to stay and to slay these cooler nights. Sexy rose and patchouli with a lovely ambery dry down.

This is a really hard one for me but it is also a fun list to create IMO. Luckily, while thought provoking, it is only hypothetical. Here are my 5 and why. 

1. Bleu de Chanel EDP - Versatile and great for most occasions, this would be my every day/signature fragrance. 

2. Armaf Milestone - Summer - Creed’s Millesime Imperial is one of if not my favorite summer fragrances. The problem is it performs like trash on my skin and is incredibly expensive when you compare it’s performance to cost. Milestone is an incredible clone at a literal fraction of the price. 

3. YSL L’homme - Spring - Can’t really say enough about how much I love this fragrance. It is great for the spring but would also fill in the gaps when I didn’t want to wear BDC because it is also very versatile. 

4. Parfums de Marley Habdan - Fall - Fall in a bottle and my personal favorite in the line. Highly underrated and unique. To me it just smells so incredibly good while cutting through the fall air. 

5. Angels’ Share By Killian - Winter - One of the most delicious smelling fragrances of all time in the winter to my nose. I guess I’m a sucker for gourmands and this to me is one of the best of all time. If memory serves me correctly, which it does, it was very popular with the female crowd as well :)
