Aventus is the original, which I would also recommend over this version. “Aventus Cologne” was released in 2019 as a fresher version of the original Creed Aventus.  These are just some pros and cons that I see when looking at this fragrance in 2022. I don't think the newer batches, at least from my perspective, perform as well. But very negligible differences from my nose that if you are not that familiar with Aventus, you're not going to go crazy and be like, oh, this is not Aventus. If you're smelling it for the first time, this is still Aventus, no matter what bottle I think you're getting

 But it is, I think, different from many people that are more into it. Of course, I am not like the biggest Aventus acolyte. So I will let some people in the comments say their own feelings about Aventus in 2022. But I wanted to address this topic because people are still very much interested in this fragrance

 I thought that was a requirement for having a fragrance channel, but I get why it's so hyped. It's mass appealing. It has a versatile element to it that can be worn year round. It smells sophisticated and opulent

 And I think just the composition is well done. It's a defining fragrance and kind of defines this last 10 years of fragrances and kind of what has really taken off. And when you can influence other designers from the niche perspective, I think that is an indication that you're doing something right. So I get why Aventus is so loved

I had never smelled it before and I couldn’t find it in stores, after a while I just decided to buy it. I was expecting to be blown away and in my opinion, it’s a a good smell but, definitely not worth the price..

At almost $500 a bottle ever batch should smell like the original! the one that made history, as the so called best smelling fragrance ever for men, creed it's missing the wonderful pineapple notes. So Sad!

 It's rich, it's sophisticated, yet versatile. And I will say, it's a very unique scent, but one that still can be worn by a lot of guys. Now, how does it arrive at this scent? It does so with a combination of top notes of pineapple, blackcurrant, apple and bergamot, mid notes of birch, patchouli, Moroccan jasmine, and rose, and base notes of musk, oakmoss, ambergris, and vanilla. All combined to give you this rich, fresh, yet sweet and smoky scent

 When you first buy it, it smells great. But I know those months down the road, it starts to smell even better. Now, my theory on that is that because it has a lot of natural ingredients, the natural ingredients start to settle and you get a better scent over time. Just my theory

This is fake, I repeat don't buy it at all, it don't even last 5 minutes and just smell like citrus water, it was a complete waste of money and not worthed at all. I love cologne but this is not even worth $1, I was so excited for this cologne but when I opened it and smelled it, it was a complete rip off, I use alot of different colognes but this is not cologne, deodorant smells better and last longer than this and they don't offer refunds or exchanges so what must I do now please help

Even perfumes that people say smells like pie or cake, *I* can detect something in them that doesn't. And i rarely find these types of scents in perfumes that have to have top, middle and base notes, and a certain complexity. For instance, the new sol de janeiro body spray line….absolutely incredible. the Bom Dia one and the Cheirosa one are just so unabashedly gourmand and delicious, i can’t stop smelling them! just lifts my spirits and it smells like pure joy to me. same goes for all the flankers of VS bare vanille body sprays. i much *much* prefer them to the VS perfumes. only issue is of course longevity (tho the SDJ ones are loooong lasting for body sprays), and i wish there were more perfumes that aren’t afraid to smell sugary and delicious. no matter how many perfumes i try (even celebrity perfumes) that are extremely gourmand or sweet, i find that there’s always a…perfumey quality (i know, i know, that’s the point) that tempers the experience. Anyways, open to any recs for perfumes that smell like VS body sprays but with the longevity of a perfume!

I wish more perfumes were as whimsical and playful as body sprays

I could just die, it’s the most intoxicating scent, and it’s just a perfectly balanced perfume. Girl of Now/Girl of Now Shine. I could never get tired of wearing them, and they’re the strongest perfumes I’ve ever worn.

This is a tough question to answer for me, even though the market is flooding with an abundance of fragrances.

I wore Alien to work yesterday. I work in a lab, so I’m always in close contact with my coworkers. I try to only spray enough perfume for me. But alas, as I was walking by one of my coworkers, he loudly announced “Someone smells good!” Then he turned to me, accusatory: “It’s you! Are you wearing perfume?”

I could have melted into the floor, a beautiful jasmine scented puddle.

I got a fragrance compliment for the first time and I’m mortified.

Bought Versace Crystal Noir &amp; Elie Saab Girl of Now based off how frequently they appeared in 'top' lists. I find myself disappointed in both. While they're lovely and I actually like both, I feel like I expected too much and would have been better off enjoying them without all these pre-conceived notions about how amazing they would be.
