This definitely works well, and purely as a humidifier, I'm very pleased. However, the selling point of this, and the considerable price premium over competing units, is the washability of the unit. And on that point, this is disappointing. Yes, it can be totally disassembled, but the pieces aren't dishwasher safe, have similar amounts of small crevices that are tough to wash, and there is still a small powered humidifier unit that isn't washable, and has lots of little nooks and crannies that are difficult to clean

I neglected to use distilled water and have tried my darndest to clean both the inside and top of the disc with white vinegar swab (soaked and let sit an hour), but can only get a very fine mist now and the top of the device feels warm like it’s working too hard. I love how portable it is and have taken just the unit (used cup at friend’s house) on trips out to Utah and put it on at night time (out of arms reach). Purchased mine in January 2019. Would probably still be going if I did not use hard water…

This product won't work without the wick or a dry wick. You'll have to use a soaking wet wick. I poured in a full cup of water, please ensure the top part of it (with the led red/ blue light) never submerges below the water. Normally, if using the cup it comes with the grep top of the cup has a cover which stops it from ever submerging or used incorrectly

I contacted support, and this is actually an updated review based on what I learned. This device is actually more effective if you don't put it on full power — that makes the droplet problem worse. Run it at 50-75% of maximum, and it'll actually put more humidity into the air itself and less into puddles. But, then, it's really not very powerful
