Cosori Pro Air Fryer vs GoWISE USA GW22954

Once I realized my hatred for the Cuisinart would never be cured, I bought the Cosori XL basket fryer and I love it. I’m now able to follow recipes and air fry things without them burning to a crisp. Did I mention that I hate the Cuisinart?

I originally started with a basket type air fryer I bought cheap on QVC but it lasted about a year. Thought the shelf one would be better but ended up putting that one in our camper and buying the basket style for the home because it’s so much more versatile. The basket style also comes with shelves you can put in the basket!! Love it!!

Note to all: DONT use oven cleaner on it even though I came across a thread where people recommended using it. The grease indeed did come off, but at that cost of the non stick coating.

I have loved this airfryer and have been raving about it to friends; the food I've cooked in it tastes really good, much better than in the conventional oven, and it is easy to use. It's been less than a year since I've had it, however, and I've found the non-stick crisper tray has gotten harder and harder to clean, despite my using parchment paper. At this point, I cannot get the tray clean even after soaking it for hours, so I will have to buy a new crisper tray, the price of which is 1/4 of the price I paid for the airfryer! Also, the crisper tray is not currently available on the website. Because of this problem, I am no longer recommending this brand

First off, I absolutely hate cooking. I don't like the mess. It takes too much time. My recipes never turn out like they show in the cookbooks

I reveived this for a birthday gift and it takes me forever to make fries and chicken I do not noY i THINK IT IS DEFECTIVE

It’s a different way to cook, but what I’ve cooked so far, I like. I’ve fried chicken, steaks, jalapeño poppers, and even breaded red fish. Guess the only drawback with the fryer is the size. The basket is big for baskets, but if your cooking for several people, (more than 2), you have to cook in stages

We haven't used it for much yet, but the French fries are great and I've made salmon in it that was delicious. I have not yet tried layering food on the racks, but will try that soon. my only complaint is that it is huge--too tall to fit in a standard cabinet shelf and takes up a lot of counter space. If I had to choose again, I would have purchased a toaster oven style that includes air-fryer and convection capabilities so that I could get rid of my toaster/convection counter appliance and just have to find the space for the threesome combo

The instructions state that you must always preheat the fryer before using, and by doing that, I have had success with a variety of foods. However, one thing to note: you must always select a preset [steak, vegetable, chicken, etc.] and then adjust the temperature or time to your liking; you cannot simply set a temperature or time. The automatic pause halfway through cooking in order to shake/flip your food only works [beeps & turns off heat] if you do not adjust the preset times/temps

- Temperature controls were spot on, always hit close to the degree you set it to, produced a GREAT product, foods were cooked through and nice and crispy on the outside. There were a couple of foods we preferred to continue to deep fry, but most often we found we actually preferred the air fryer version, french fries for example.

It produces such a clean taste. Definitely for someone who has health issues that greasy foods would aggravate and exacerbate. Should’ve gotten this a long time ago. Saves time and energy and it tastes better

it's made out of nonstick material and cleaning was a breeze! I'm telling you, this air fryer is amazing! Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a healthy way to cook food.

Cosori for whatever reason utilize a paper-weight electrical lead cable for an air fryer rated at 1500 watts which also does not include a ground pin. Why Cosori? The plastic-like odor people are experiencing while using the air fryer is not coming from the air fryer, but from that thin electrical lead cable which is getting hot while the air fryer is in use. Over time, the lead cable is likely to wear out and likely burn out. Please Cosori for the next iteration of this air fryer, take a page from Panasonic microwaves, study the heavy gauge lead cables they utilize for their 1200 watt rated microwave ovens and utilize something similar especially for a 1500 watt rated air fryer such as this one

It consumes too much power and takes much longer to cook than we had led to believe. Sir fryer sounds good but food is too dry especially meat and poultry. And when you cook fish it always smells strong strong fishy oder that if same fish cooked in a regular oven or even open pan fried has no Oder to it.

Now I have more access to my oven for baking larger amounts of food. Also great when you need to bake more than 1 thing at once.

You must remove them manually. Second attempt was a small chocolate cake I made, which cooked much faster on the top, than it did underneath., and came out slightly dry. The digital controls are extremely sensitive to touch response, so sometimes you have to re-adjust your time and temperature because of it
