 Now this is the power supply itself the RM850X as I said it is a fairly compact and it's also available in white which is really nice and it's going in a white case so it's going to look mint. You can see it's a modular power supply so you can choose, chop and choose what connections you put on. It's actually really beneficial that this has a multitude of connections because the motherboard I'm installing on that takes three 8-pin connectors, one 24-pin connector and a PCIe connector as well and I have a multitude of drives that need powering as well as two connectors for the graphics card, one for a PCIe adapter for M2 drives. So you need a multitude of cables and this has it all

 Once you get them lined up on the top it's then easy enough to line them up and push that through. You get the connectors on either side that go through right the way through and then you can line them up on both sides. You can see turning it over doing the same thing. Now a few of these combs on each and every one of the cables makes things really neat at the front as you can see and once you've got a comb on you can also pull it around and adjust it and then that keeps everything in line up nice and easily which makes life a lot easier

 I'm pretty sure when getting a power supply, 80 plus bonds is like a minimum. Ideally, 80 plus gold if you can. That guarantees that the output of this is not going to drop well below what your PC requires. A lot of cheaper units that you get for not a lot of money, even though they say 700W and things like that, a lot of the time they're not putting out that power

 Just pay the money. Because going cheap on this you could literally lose thousands. Depending on how much PC components are worth obviously. But yeah let's roll B roll this baby in

 So with this PC, I've probably been, because I haven't had a problem with this, and because I can be a bit of a cheapskate sometimes, I have just continued to go on with this for about 10 years. I haven't had a problem with it. Puts out good power like more than most PCs are requiring now. But the thing with power supplies is even if this did put out 875W when it was new, that doesn't mean it's putting out 875W now

 If you've got an old power supply make sure you upgrade it to a good minimum 80 plus bronze. That is at least 100 watts over what your computer is probably going to use. For me that says minimum 750. So I'm going to use minimum 850 here

The Corsair SF600 Gold is one of the loudest of the Corsair SF series. Fortunately the fan just uses a simple 2 pin connector with 12v (red wire) and ground (black wire). The Noctua Omnijoin kit came with an NF-A4x20 but works well here. Match up the black and red wires, and follow the instructions on the Omnijoin kit

  During normal day to day and idle loads, it's perfectly quiet, as you'd expect. But if you give it a real load the fan will become the loudest thing in your system; I could hear it over my 2070S!  The amount of heat it outputs is also impressive and concerning. I swapped it with a full size ATX 850 last night to get a noise benchmark and noticed the heat was a lot lower too. This implies some concerning efficiency numbers, which confuse me given my spare/bench supply is only bronze rated

 They are made of stiff black plastic, and some are ribbon shaped, which is a bit harder to work with and looks less tidy (circular cables can be tied easily in a tube shape, but the ribbon ones are flat and wide). I wasn't able to power my hard drive with the SATA power cable in my NCase M1 (bottom mounted) because the SATA connectors weren't able to lay flat enough to plug into the hard drive. The EVGA PSU in my other computer had a SATA power cable that had flat connectors which could reach, but I ended up using a spare Molex/sata adapter I had laying around. Furthermore, the connectors on the cables were so stiff and only went in with a "wiggle" motion

 I almost RMA-ed one once (realized a board fault and canceled the RMA) - Corsair was "business friendly" in manor and willing to help - they issued the RMA without a fight. The only con I have, is that it's better to buy them retail than through a distributor, pricing is near the same and shipping, warranty service is better on the retail side. If you buy 100s at time that may be different - but we buy them 5 - 10 at a time. Okay another con - I have a ton of velvet bags now and no other swag - at some point they should send me a invite to a company party or at least a t-shirt ;)
