Corsair QL140 RGB vs Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM

In the preservation of self care, I gotta say that while I am visually happy with my purchases (Fans and controller) and happy with their performance, I am wholly dissatisfied in Corsair for not making their fan kits and all in one type of deal. Aside from that, the fans are also fairly noisy, even at low speeds, and the balanced setting within the iCUE software has the speeds bouncing around like crazy when I am not even doing heavy workloads, or gaming. But they're so pretty, so that doesn't matter, right? RIGHT? And then, there's the final insult. Amazon has such a low quantity of these fan kits and single fans, that you are only allowed to purchase ONE OF EACH per account

But FWIW, even with my noise floor of 28 dB(A), I can still hear this fan at 6 meters, which seems to suggest that it's still over 28 dB at that distance. Would Noctua have used a distance as great as 10 meters? But again, it's almost 39 dB(A) at 1m, and at that distance, the noise from NF-A12x25 PWM is significant. The noise signature makes it more noticeable because it's not just the white noise associated with rushing air. Instead, it has a prominent whine that my spectrum analyzer app shows to be 323Hz

Which means you HAVE to use the iCUE software to make them work with your other stuff. Don't get these if you want everything to sync up with them unless you have ASUS Aura Sync compatible items and are willing to use additional software (like Jacknet RGB) to get it working together (not without some issues, but it's something at least). However, if you can work within those limitations, these are the BEST looking RGB fans I've seen yet, even nicer than Thermaltake's Riing Trio/Quad fans. Had to take one star off of the review because of the custom ecosystem and all of the additional splitters and adapters needed to use them, and due to the custom ecosystem they force you into, but they are a quality product

So the next step was the best air cooling solution I could find: The Noctua NH-D15 SE-AM4. With my case the stock NF-a15 fans for that heatsink assembly wouldn't clear both the ram and the case side panel. Thanks to some reviews for this fan along with Noctua saying it was a compatible match, I decided to try these fans for the heatsink in order to keep the twin fan capability. I also opted to replace my (7) NF-A14 PWM case fans with (6) NF-A12X25 fans
