This is sick but I don't agree with the fan choice... I tried the Corsair ML120 Pro and thought they were unbearably noisy

 And that's my point about the fact that these fans can spin to 2000 RPM or 2400 RPM, which is that quite bluntly, I don't much care. My takeaway from that is that if you want to operate your fans at that speed, you're either a sucker for punishment and or you're running the wrong processor. If you're not using LGA 2011 Core i7 and you're faffing around with the cooling, move your platform, sort out your X99 motherboard, X790 if you must, and then you can worry about the fine details. So there we go

 The fact they cost a fair amount of money, that is a bit unfortunate, but I can live with that because I'm thinking in terms of you buying two of these babies to go on your liquid cooler rather than packing out your entire case with the blessed things. What you'd do far better do is to buy a case such as this Be Quiet and just use the stock Be Quiet case fans. That'll save you 60 quid right there. Overall, I like the new fans provided you can park the ML aspect of it and focus on the goodies

 £20, that LED, £22 with a lot of money, and if you're there for to put these fans in this case £100 worth, which is clearly a lot of money, and frankly a bit silly. What these fans bring to the party, a massive range of speeds. The 120s go from 400rpm to 2400rpm, the 140mm 400rpm to 2000rpm, a colossal range. Now the marketing sort of suggests that because of the magnetic levitation bearing, they can spin to this higher speed, and you don't suffer the noise because of the clever technology

 Therefore, the voltage is varying, that's the point. And Corsair is adamant on the case fans, the liquid cooler is fine. On the case fans, therefore, as I crank up the fan controller, the lights will change and you'll hear the noise difference. And here we go with the microphone near the case fans

Corsair ML120 and ML140 fans Review

 - 4-pin connectors. I'm putting this here because it does not say anywhere that they are 4-pin and that's kind of important to know. - Put the 'pretty' side out--the side where the centre just has the corsair logo is the side that goes 'out'. I just looked at how my old fans were orientated in my tower and put these fans the same direction, but I know folks aren't always *replacing* fans

 This same rig that I am running no longer feels as if I am sitting next to an oven which sounded like a jet plane ready to take off. These fans are like mere 20-30% of what my old ones sounded at top speed yet consumeing less power.  Coming from a tropical environment with average indoor temperature of 30 deg C (CPU and GPU idle at 39C), the fans are left idling up to 40C, 60% by 45C, 80% by 50C and 100% by 55C.  I am a happy customer and I would recommend these fans to those who are looking for something that actually works instead of merely fancy looks

0 header, and you're off and running. For the fan speed, you still need to connect them, but there's nothing proprietary there. I chose to use a three-way splitter and connect them to a 4-pin PWM header on my motherboard.  Right off the bat, these fans look spectacular

Corsair finally simplifying their ecosystem

 In the preservation of self care, I gotta say that while I am visually happy with my purchases (Fans and controller) and happy with their performance, I am wholly dissatisfied in Corsair for not making their fan kits and all in one type of deal.  Aside from that, the fans are also fairly noisy, even at low speeds, and the balanced setting within the iCUE software has the speeds bouncing around like crazy when I am not even doing heavy workloads, or gaming. But they're so pretty, so that doesn't matter, right? RIGHT?  And then, there's the final insult. Amazon has such a low quantity of these fan kits and single fans, that you are only allowed to purchase ONE OF EACH per account

 Tell me, when exactly was the last time you saw a PC with THREE CASE FANS? Hmm? Like 1999? The mere fact that Amazon will only let you purchase one dual fan kit, and one single fan, and have you end up with three fans, is utterly ridiculous, because NO ONE builds a computer using 140mm fans, with only three fans.  COSRSAIR, AMAZON, KINDLY GET IT TOGETHER.

Oh boy.....

 Which means you HAVE to use the iCUE software to make them work with your other stuff. Don't get these if you want everything to sync up with them unless you have ASUS Aura Sync compatible items and are willing to use additional software (like Jacknet RGB) to get it working together (not without some issues, but it's something at least). However, if you can work within those limitations, these are the BEST looking RGB fans I've seen yet, even nicer than Thermaltake's Riing Trio/Quad fans. Had to take one star off of the review because of the custom ecosystem and all of the additional splitters and adapters needed to use them, and due to the custom ecosystem they force you into, but they are a quality product

 And there's absolutely zero way to convert it to a standard 5v ARGB or 12v RGB connection for motherboards or controllers that support those formats. Instead, the fans have a 4-pin connector and proprietary data format, and the hub (Lighting Node) connects via **9-pin** USB motherboard connector. Which means you HAVE to use the iCUE software to make them work with your other stuff. Don't get these if you want everything to sync up with them unless you have ASUS Aura Sync compatible items and are willing to use additional software (like Jacknet RGB) to get it working together (not without some issues, but it's something at least)
