 The voltages don't jump around like the cheaper PSU's that I use to buy. I now have it installed into my new PC running higher end components. The GPU and CPU seem to be very stable and don't run out of power ever. The fan usually stays off when it doesn't need to cool its self

 These setups are pretty rare though, so is this for anyone else besides that? Well, like a high end workstation, for example, might have dual Xeons and a Quadro GPU and then three additional Tesla rendering accelerators, for example, or maybe a full complement of Fire Pro cards, that could be a good example too. Or maybe you're just an energy efficiency fanatic and you really want to be at the peak of that efficiency curve. This is an 80 plus platinum rated unit, so you'll always get at least 89 to 90 percent efficiency, but you can get close to 93 percent efficiency if you're only pulling about 600 watts or about 50 percent of the HX 1200i's available wattage. And maybe there's also a silent computing aficionado out there who might note that you can pull up to 480 watts from this unit and the fan won't even need to spin up as long as the temperature inside stays lower than 25 C

 On the top is your power chart, and here's another point I've not yet mentioned. This power supply delivers all 1200 watts of its rated power via one single massive 100 amp 12 volt rail. I haven't tested this personally, but according to these numbers you should be able to power two AMD R9295X2's off of this single rail. That is quite impressive

 We can also reasonably assume that you can't really qualify for 80 plus platinum rating without using some quality parts inside, so with all that said, what do you guys think of the HX1200i? Is 1200 watts too much for you, or are you happy to have a high quality slash lower cost option versus the bells and whistles laden AX series?  It's really rare to see a power supply manufacturer have a single and multiple rail support. There's four things that I liked about it and two things that I didn't. Number one, it's super powerful. Number two, no coil whine or buzzing

 I wanted to build one gaming PC that was the best of my group to use on my main system. I wanted this to use this powerful Corsiar 1000 watt power supply enabled PC with my 85 inch Sony TV. I also wanted this computer to have lots of spare power if I wanted to add video related devices that could play on my big screen.  This 1000 watt corsair power supply gives me everything I want in a power supply. This power supply is also GOLD certified meaning its capacitors and overall build quality should be superior to those with no or lesser ratings. This Power supply is huge so I'd pick an ATX case for this monster. The cables especially the 24 pin cable were long

 If you need a bigger power supply buy it rather than strain a smaller power supply to its limits resulting in issues. My choice in power supply was defined by the job I needed it to perform. In this instance Corsair 1000 Watt Power Supply was my best choice one I am still happy with today!

 Here's our main 24-pin power connector that'll plug into our motherboard. These are two 8-pin cpu power cables and the connectors do come apart so if you need something like 8 plus 4 you can do that with this. These are four 8-pin pci express cables. There's two connections per cable for a total of eight and they're in 6 plus 2 format

 Everything is really well packed in there and I don't think you'll have any issues with damage during shipping. So here's the power supply and first of all, it's super heavy. Let's get this plastic off of there. This is one big power supply

 There's five separate SATA cables here. Three of them have straight connectors and two have 90 degree connectors and there's four connectors per cable for a total of 20 so there's no way you're going to run out of like power cables for drives and stuff like that. If you do then I don't know you must be running a server or a data center or something. These are two 4-pin peripheral cables and there's a total of eight combined connectors on here and here's the most important part the floppy adapter

 This power supply here is part of Corsair's HX series. It's a 1200 watt unit. It comes with a fully modular design and it hits that platinum level efficiency. The box that this thing comes in is absolutely gigantic

 So the included modular power cables normally they would have a pouch but in this case that's not a standard inclusion they just give you in a packet like this. So as far as PCIe power requirements go we have four outlets six plus two however we need it that's subject to our specific need. On the opposite side, if I can show it to you this way, we have all of our modular connections and again this is 100% modular so you only use the cables that you need and these are labeled so it's kind of hard to see in the video, try to get it closed, but all of your connections are labeled so if you're that first time builder, you're not really sure what you're doing, all of your connections are labeled there so you can go ahead and get everything connected the right way and then finally on the bottom here, we have our fan and this is a 135mm cooling fan and it's actually a specially designed NR135L fan and it's designed to be a high static pressure fan to give the best cooling possible with low noise and all of that but also it is a zero RPM fan, so what that means, we've seen that with course graphics cards and all of that but zero RPM means that when this thing is not doing any heavy lifting, you're not playing games, you're not using a lot of power, the fan is actually going to turn off

So that is basically it, this is the 750 watt version, again it's going to come in 550, 650, 750, 850 and 1000 watt, the 750 which we're showing you today will retail for 129

 We have a little Corsair thumb drive, I believe it's just given to us because we're doing the review. This probably has a reviewer's guide on it, so make sure to go ahead and read that. We also have a warranty guide right here, I know it's really kind of whited out because we have our lights on in here. We have a power cable and one thing that a lot of people don't take to care in is a thick power cable

 If something does happen, you can go ahead and you have that warranty, you can send it back and of course get a new one with that. Also inside we have 100% Japanese capacitors which of course, if you know anything about power supplies, those are the best. So you have all of that. So on the top, we just have our sticker that shows all of our input and output voltages

 It combines well with the case fan. I've had no issues what-so-ever and will be back here to update this review if anything changes. Update (Feb 2020): Still no issues. PSU working just fine

 I've been using this system with the new PSU installed for a week as of writing this review, and so far I'm very happy. The fan works great - it's quiet and when it turns on, it's powerful. It combines well with the case fan. I've had no issues what-so-ever and will be back here to update this review if anything changes

 System is working like brand new, and the PSU is still quiet and efficient. Still happy with this purchase.

I purchased this for a 2014 Dell XPS 8300. Its original PSU was rated at 460 W, but I wanted to go a little higher because I plan on buying a new GPU soon. I've been using this system with the new PSU installed for a week as of writing this review, and so far I'm very happy. The fan works great - it's quiet and when it turns on, it's powerful
