 I did say it was gonna be the 4000 D I did think it was the 4000 D. It's not it's the X the D has got a mesh front the X has got a glass front However, this is what we've got. I'm sorry. I'll try to get a 4000 D for a future episode But out of the box it comes with these three beautiful RGB Corsair fans at the front But no exhaust Anyway, just the three fans at the front

 They will be on there go look at those episodes really really interesting But today it is the Corsair 4000X. Let's get started So as always we're gonna start running the Furmark GPU stress test and CPU burner stress test this will push the CPU and GPU to 100% And then we can start checking for some temperatures It's not kind of real world. It does push it a lot harder than when you're actually gaming So these temperatures probably will be a lot higher than when you're gaming But what it does is it gives us a good idea of how the fans are working and the air temperature actually inside the case So you can see this is a GPU temperature graph. It's going up We just need that to become like a little bit of a steady line

5 Let's see what this is saying now 32.2 calling it So yeah, we can see actually by removing one of the fans at the top and just having a single exhaust The air temperature inside is relatively steady within a couple of points of a degree and actually it's slightly cooler At the back, which is kind of what we want because that's where all the hot stuff is So again, you know, we can definitely see the fog feeding the gpu fans there. So that's working perfectly And what we can also see is the air here isn't escaping out the top as quickly as it was And we do have a flow of air Feeding the both the exhaust but also the cpu as well Well, and what isn't happening that was happening with the previous configurations with the two fans at the top Is the air that immediately comes in isn't getting immediately exhausted But I actually think with this particular case the best use case for the top Probably be with an aio So if you had a dual fan aio that's cooling your cpu i'd absolutely put it at the top there uh, because then you almost want This cold air escaping much quicker through the radiator of the aio So it's cooling the the coolant liquid inside the aio with an air cool system That's not what you want. But with an aio cold system, that is absolutely what you want for me Actually a great case for both air cooling and it'd probably be very good for aio as well If you put the aio at the top So yeah, I really rate that case

 This also made putting in the USB-C front panel connector difficult, which shows an oversight in the case's design itself. [I don't particularly care if the panel is removable, I would think that Corsair products at stock would perfectly fit other Corsair products at stock.] Lastly, I do wish that the case was just a bit longer so I could fit my 360mm radiator up top, but then that would obsolete the RGB connector in there by needing just one more connector [and yeah, I was bad to not do my 110% research but it really does just barely not fit].  Otherwise, for a $140 case with a $70 component pre-installed, it's very solid

 Because of this, the radiator blocks the small slits for the mesh filter on the front, meaning that while it can be placed between the glass and case interior still, it isn't flush, but it seems purely aesthetic and doesn't compromise performance.]

 The grill patterns are also very effective while not beinga bad look or too flashy, and I actually do like that development in Corsair's latest designs.  [To add, a while after I made this review, I swapped my radiator configuration to have fans in a pull configuration rather than push, meaning the fans are on the interior side of the raditor rather than the exterior. Because of this, the radiator blocks the small slits for the mesh filter on the front, meaning that while it can be placed between the glass and case interior still, it isn't flush, but it seems purely aesthetic and doesn't compromise performance.]

A very safe and easy to use case, however can be cramped with additional components.

Solid quality case with quiet pre-intalled fans

 So it keeps it all nice and clean looking. Another nice touch, which actually there's a lot of that on this. There's a lot of design elements been thrown into this case. Some little things, which really please me actually, things like the Corsair cell logo on the tempered glass there, and there's all kinds of other little bits, like actually on the mesh front here, we've got just a little logo on the bottom there, which again is a tiny thing and most people will probably never see it, but the fact that it's there just adds to that air of quality and class about this case

 That's actually a really nice thing to do. You've also got the glass, it's got a white edge around it, so when you put it in you get your greasy fingerprints on it, they're not going to show through from the back, so you just have to give the front a wipe over, which is really easy to do. So it keeps it all nice and clean looking. Another nice touch, which actually there's a lot of that on this

 But what do you get for your £100 English pounds, give or take a few? Well, you get a dual tempered glass case with IQ RGB fans, and you actually get some pretty amazing build quality. And also, along with it, you get some really cool features and pretty much all the flexibility you could possibly want in an ATX tower case. So where should we start from? Well, probably the best way is to start from the front, because the front is really the key part of this. So as you can see from the front, as standard we've got three fans included, and these are the SP Pro RGBs, which are from Corsair, and again they're part of the IQ system, so they plug into the IQ core node, which is included as well

  Also, be sure to check if you're buying this for the USB type-C, make sure your motherboard has a port for it. I didn't know this so I have a useless feature until I buy an additional adapter.  Lastly, a thing to consider.

  I haven't had an issue with the front filter hitting the fans like some have written about.  The only suggestion I would give anyone picking this case up is that you need at least one additional fan to exhaust the heat from your system. I would really suggest two fans (one on the top/rear of the case and one in the back of the case). Do not put one in the top/front as this will take away all the cool air your front fans are trying to bring in

 And to be honest, for a budget, kind of like mid-tier PC case, I say budget, to be honest, it's like $120, 110 quid. So it's not exactly budget, but it's kind of in line with the mid range PC cases. I think it's about 40, 50 quid, so I assume it's similar in the US as well. So we have the 4000D Airflow at the side of us now and obviously the 4000X, which we've just unboxed

 The difference being the 4000X comes with three RGB fans on the front, three 120mm RGB fans on the front with a glass panel front, whereas the 4000D basically comes with a metal mesh front, which we'll show you later. We do have a few around the office at the moment and that originally comes with two non-RGB fans from what I can recall and slightly lower price point. So the 4000X is kind of the higher end if you call it that, at least from a price point perspective. Obviously having the three RGB fans as well

 More expensive cases, and I hope all cases start to shift to this, come with a cloth material rather than a plastic material, which I absolutely love because it means I don't get the shock off it. However, it seems to be the cheaper cases still come with the plastic wrap. So please, Corsair, if you're listening, please start using the cloths for all of your cases. I think they do that for the 500D, which obviously is an expensive case, I think that's like 250 quid
