 Here you can see the white one which looks absolutely beautiful and it's a really nicely designed in a number of different ways, and there are a number of highlights to it that include, as you can see, a vertical mount at the rear for your gpu. So you want to shut off like that and by the way i'm going to do a separate video where i will be installing gpu separately also has several dust shields. As i said, there's one at the bottom as one for the power supply unit to prevent dust. Getting sucked up from the ground or your desk into your psu and also there's one on top, which is held in place with magnets, you can easily take that off and then for the installation process

 There'S a video by gamers nexus, which recommends doing this after they tested the various positions for your pump pipes on an all-in-one cooler and saying that you shouldn't put it above the pump, and this is uh potentially a problem because it means, if you are using the 360 ml radiator, like me, you have to put it the wrong way around with the pipes at the top something to bear in mind. There'S also not enough room to do a push pull set up there, but i went through the setup process anyway. I installed it with my fans on the outside, so you can get the maximum amount of rgb lighting and get some goodness going on there. The radiator behind that it's going to suck cold air on over the radiator and into the case, cooling, the cpu and the other components as well

 You can relocate that hard disk drive tray a bit further forward, but in my instance, where i've used a radiator on the front panel, there's not much room there, so it would be a problem. I am not using the hard disk drive in this setup of this machine, so perhaps not a problem, but i want to highlight for those that are thinking about buying it, the potential pitfalls of the lack of space in front of your power supply unit. If you're going to put hard drives in there, you're going to have a bit of a faff in terms of getting the power cables in, i would recommend installing the power cables before you put the power supply unit in unless you've got tiny, tiny hands or a Small child, you can use to help you install the cables now the tray is removable, but this is another niggle, because those thumb screws are in so tight that it's very difficult to get them out. You cannot get a screwdriver in at the right angle to be able to do it

 So you can slip things through. You can slip them over the top as well numerous different holes for looping your cables through and getting easy access to them now. One of the things that's interesting about this case is the setup of it. Obviously, it's airflow, so it's designed with an open venting system on the front

Would switching to an AIO give me any noticeable thermal gains and would I see any better boost performance off that if so? I used the paste that came with the cooler.

 I’m planning on it, myself. But out of the box with a stand by air cooler, it’s great.

 Being an ABS prebuilt, it was in a Rosewill case. Months and months go by, and my mother board fails.  The cable management in the Rosewill case killed the board, the AIO likewise had been jammed on the ram sockets. I ended up needing new ram, new z590 board, and when I realized that the case would have the same problem even with an air cooler, a new case

 Idle temps 37-42 on a non overclocked 11900k. I would recommend getting the Corsair fans tho. I’m planning on it, myself. But out of the box with a stand by air cooler, it’s great

Small case, BIG WORKING AREA.

\- In MSI Afterburner in the fan config tab I see a dotted line at 30% fan speed that stretches across the graph. I am making an assumption that this basically means that the FE RTX 3090 is incapable of running at 0% fan? If true is there a workaround for this so I can have it idling with no fan (unless previous question answers that idling at 65 deg is a bad thing to do). It currently idles at 45 deg for reference.

For the first time in my life I've been able to afford top-of-the-line hardware and its something that can be ticked off the bucketlist. I got an FE RTX 3090 and a Ryzen 9 5900X (cooled with a Noctua NH-D15, for more context I use a Corsair 4000D Airflow with 2x 140mm Noctua Fans in the front). I don't really have any interest in overclocking and in fact basically want to do the opposite where it's tuned in such a way that I rarely if ever hear my PC component fan's spin. To achieve the results I want I configured all my fans to run at zero up until each component hits the 65 degrees threshold and then its a straightline ramp to 100% fan at 85 degrees (using MSI Afterburner for the GPU, and the bios for the CPU and case fans)

\- The CPU at idle sits at roughly 65 degrees (fans never turn on so its not like the fans are causing the temperature to "bounce") is this a safe temperature for the CPU to idle at for long periods of time? I wouldn't mind compromising and running the fan at 20% if it's meaningfully safer to bring the CPU down to a cooler temp.

 The HDD enclosure sits right behind the PSU cables and will not be able to fit if you get a large PSU for the case.  Also for my particular configuration a push and pull setup on the front radiator was impossible due to space constraints.

 The NZXT H510, while looking fantastic, is an oven and not really suitable for the climate that I'm in. The NR600 is a decent budget build but the case just builds up dust too fast. I had to clean its front panel like every week. The Corsair 4000D Airflow is finally the one that I can find myself living with for the next five years or so

 Yes - the PCB could have been colored black - or yellow instead of old school green, but I am not able to see it once installed anyway, so it does not matter much to me.  I tried finding info on it such as TRIM, drivers or encryption, but it DOES have all wear leveling features but no encryption. I did not mind the absence of encryption since my Teamgroup (which beat my old 860 Samsung by a lot) SSD did not have encryption or it's own drivers or firmware updates. Once this was installed - it blew away the Teamgroup, the old Samsung and it made my already speedy PC feel like a new PC!  The Samsung that I had always tested below the advertised speed

 Even GTA V loads quicker! I am running a 32" at 1440P.  I am glad that when I was picking up the Samsung (before I placed this order!), I returned it right then and there, as I saved about $55 and GAINED a whole lot in performance. SK said that they would revise their website and provide a toolbox (they should have had one before launch - for such a large company), but I am HAPPY that I made this purchase and I trusted this brand because they actually design, MANUFACTURE and SUPPLY the memory to other brands, so of course they know what they are doing more than the other brands!  I give this the same praise as the pro reviewers do! The performance and the price make this a no contest for other brands! You get the performance (or better) of other brands TOP (most expensive) drives or better - for only $135! Again, SK Hynix MAKES the memory, so that is why they can bring such high quality for so low! If you do not know companies that are involved with the sources of PC components - just trust us and get this!

 The Teamgroup drive tested 3110 read and 2008 write when the specs called for 3300 and 2500. The SK tested (using Samsung Magician) 3440 read and 3241 write! This is the first drive I had that got just about at the stated speeds! The increased write speeds truly make a difference in all functions! I was not sure of the benefits of faster write speeds, but once I started checking websites and DOWNLOADING games, playing games and video editing - I THEN noticed the benefits! Downloads now write as fast or faster than the internet bandwidth.  Games like GTA V (or anything, truth be told) have full draw, INCREASED detail, coloring, speed, frames/smoothness and overall performance! It is clear-cut with this drive! There is ZERO performance hits that I noticed with this - only performance increases and a CONSISTENT performance throughout all testing! Photoshop loads a lot quicker. Vegas Pro loads quicker

Simple Questions - January 30, 2022

 The system tested, took 12 seconds to boot Windows 10 counting from the time I pressed the power button. I have tested several SSDs, and that is the fastest the system will boot. I have noticed that any drive with read speeds of 1800 MB/s or better will accomplish the task.  The SK hynix P31 500GB surpassed the advertised write speeds of 3100 MB/s reaching 3183

  I dropped a star since the software available was pretty much useless and many similar drives provide hardware encryption.  SK hynix P31 is a fast SSD and a good price point and fares even better if you could get one when discounted. If you do not need that much speed (most of us don't), you could get a less expensive SSD with even more capacity.

 I have noticed that any drive with read speeds of 1800 MB/s or better will accomplish the task.  The SK hynix P31 500GB surpassed the advertised write speeds of 3100 MB/s reaching 3183.53 MB/s. It felt short on advertised read speed of 3500 MB/s reaching just 3440

91 MB/s.  On real word test it managed to reach 2787 MB/s write speed and 2209 MB/s read speed. I transferred 70 GB of mixed data from another SSD with 3500 MB/s read speed. If you don't write that much data , filing up the SSD SLC cache, then the P31 will run a lot faster

 These days I operate my own photographic and design studio and have an HP graphics workstation that is substantially more sophisticated than most typical PC’s. My language is performance, not benchmark tests under ideal conditions or what manufacturers put on their spec sheets. The company who makes workstations like mine has installed Hynix memory for a very long time in their products, it’s what I buy when I upgrade memory. Due to the heavy use my systems get I was shopping for 1TB SSD’s and did a lot of research

 When I plugged my new Hynix into the slot and powered up my computer it was absolutely flawless, every app, every file, every preference, ever login, they were all exactly when they used to be only now I had a much larger, faster and brand-new main drive.

 The support docs are free and helpful no matter what your skill level is. This is especially true if you are doing a data migration from your boot drive to a new SSD, the risk of some data not transferring or being corrupted is too great, which is also a definite mandatory to back up everything you own before even diving in.  YES OR NO  This brings me to the bottom line a lot faster than I usually get there when evaluating a product. I’ll tell you why I chose this one and from there you’re on your own

I put about ten percent of my choice on it being the right form factor and configuration to fit and work in my system and a full ninety percent on trusting this brand to give me the best performance in its price range. As a side note, if you are closer to the novice level you shouldn’t have to worry about cloning your system boot drive over to this as your new one - the app they include (while not being the most sophisticated ever made) is excellent
