My only gripe is the sheath, which has NO holes near the bottom for attaching cordage to secure the end. Whether your aim is to wear the blade at your side, diagonally across your back, or horizontally on your belt behind you..

I have little doubts it will substitute for my hatchet and wood processor with no issue. The sheath is a really great addition to a really stout knife. I was tossed up between the ESEE Junglass and the Ontario RTAK II, ultimately the Kydex sheath and 1095 steel put it over for me. I think I made the right decision

Beautiful tool! It feels as amazing to use as it looks. This is mostly highly rated for its great handle and condor’s durability. Downsides is it requires a lot of maintenance, and several tests with it, much cheaper machetes out performed it. I really wanted to like it cause its looks and the handle is amazing, but was not very impressed with its chopping ability

You'll barely put out $40, but you'll get a good sheath (a tad funky with the snaps, but still quite good), a good carbon steel blade, a good handle, and lots of money saved. Yes, I'd actually suggest that over the RTAK II..

That, and the weight, make it tiring to use. Being so thick, I think, keeps it from slicing as well as my other machete. It’s good for using like an axe, I suppose. I much prefer my CRKT machete which slices better and requires much less effort to hang on to

At first i was skeptical of using 1095 steel, but i now see the advantage over stainless. This blade will get a razor sharp edge effortlessly, and most importantly, WILL HOLD THE EDGE. People, just learn how to take care of it. This is a REALLY big knife and quite heavy, so if its gonna be used for backpacking/hiking, i recommend something more lightweight, like the Esee 6, or the Junglas 2, but if you have a strong back, this thing will do anything really good, batoning, feathering, etc

It's just ok. The biggest issue is the handle, it's a little small and to easy for it to slip out of your hand, especially if your hand gets wet or sweaty. I added a lanyard and wrap it around my hand to stop losing control. But that limits your hand movement and you can no longer do precise short flicks

Fit and finish is really nice. High quality blade, sheath and handle. That said, this is a very thick and heavy blade so it's not something you want to use for hours at a time. But my main complaint is that the handle, although beautifully made, is so thick that it's uncomfortable to use

They're not just throwing junk together and collecting a paycheck. The blade is thick and very strong and comes out of the box sharp enough to shave your arm hair. It pulled the hair a little but with a handful of passes on my spyderco sharpmaker it was smooth and just rolled the hair off! This thing is scary sharp for being as big as it is. The handles are beautiful and offer great grip
