Condor Compact Kephart Knife Fixed Blade Walnut vs Schrade Extreme Survival Large Fixed Blade Knife

Blade on mine looks stainless steel? Very hard to put sharp edge. Had to is bastard file and diamond coded stone. Stealth is heavy duty and kinfe overall is good? Could be better if blade was carbon steel like a 1075 or 1095?

I had a small Schrade folder from when I was a kid, but I haven't seen any since, so I thought I would test it out and if I hated it I could just exchange it towards one of the Beckers. The knife arrived beautifully, protected well in it's box, even though some textbooks in my order crushed it. The blade steel was clean and spotless, almost a bead blasted- gunmetal gray tone. Heavy, as expected, with a beautiful curve to the blade that resembles the kopis style on my CS Spartan

They're solid knives, but don't expect much aesthetically. When I received this knife yesterday, the "factory" edge was practically nonexistent. Uneven grinds, and literally as dull as a butter knife. It took me over an hour, and three different sharpening systems to get a good edge on it

1095 steel, for the price this is a plus since this steel is pretty good for outdoors/survival tasks, will need to be taken care of to avoid rust though. Looks and feels tough, very thick spine, don't think it will suffer any damage when chopping or battoning. Price!, for the size and steel material this is a great price point. Ok now for the CONS: The balance feels a little off, I can't quite describe it but it just something you have to feel for yourself

Handle scales are unfinished but sanded smooth. Really like the sheath. Putting a few coats of boiled linseed oil on the handle and it’s good to go. 4 out 5 stars for a mostly finished knife and a price paid of over $50

Let's be clear here... This knife is definitely one of the best bargains going! I don't think you can get a more heavy duty knife for this price guys

This one is in perfect condition. Razor sharp, awesome sheath and light weight. Incredible size for conceal and quick use.
