Initially, they seemed like a standard cotton-poly blend pair of underwear, and they are — but Columbia manages to combine the best of both cotton and synthetic fabrics for a very reasonable price. The cotton majority of the fabric keeps these drawers comfy and reduces potential lingering odors, while the polyester fibers wick enough moisture away to prevent a cottony, swampy feeling. 
We do wish that the seams were more smartly placed, as two seams run from the top of the seat to the back of the crotch, which could serve as potential chafe points. These might not be the best choice for fellas who like to wear pants with a tighter fit because these undergarments will leave those undesirable lines showing through. We also wished that the leg hems were lower profile so they wouldn't ride up while running or other activities. Regardless, we still think this is an excellent pair of underwear for any situation at a great price.

  I’ve replaced all my expensive cotton Tommy John briefs with the Columbia briefs which are stretch fit. Because they are essentially Synthetic I can easily wash them and wear then the next day while backpacking or traveling abroad.

 We were quite surprised by how durable the ex-officio boxer briefs are, even when being smushed by a bike seat or indiscriminately thrown in a wash with chore clothes. These skivvies will take a beating and keep on wicking, though we do love their performance. We were not impressed by the fit. The legs are appropriately snug for stretch fabric, but the crotch is somewhat baggy, offering less support than some of the others in the review

 The three-dimensional pouch in the front is both supportive and comfortable, and the plain seam in the middle is a nice touch to reduce chafing our head tester, especially liked the wide but flat waistband that kept everything in place without the bulk, like most of the polyester pairs Of underwear, the new balance boxer briefs aren't the greatest with odour control. The new balance website claims that these are odor resistant but did not claim any sort of details on how that would be achieved. We weren't particularly impressed with the soda control when we tested them. Although for a daily driver, these are a solid pair of boxer, briefs for work or play at number five, although just putting these on, won't, make you as ripped and skinny as the model on the packaging

 If you are tight on cash and need some drawers, we think they're worth your purchase at number. Three, the ex officio given and go is our favorite model in the whole review for getting out and being active? We loved them for how breathable and wicking the fabric is even when we wore them in 106 degrees, fahrenheit temps. The sizing chart appears to be different now then when I ordered. But when I ordered the sizing chart said size small was 30-32 waist and medium was 34-36so I went with the size small.  Durability is always an issue with nicer underwear, and these seem to be made of a thicker fabric than many. These are very similar in feel, comfort, and stretch as the Ex Officio give n go, but they are much cheaper. Overall, I'm glad I found these. Happy with my purchase

 I found this flaw with all of the Mack Weldon boxers I purchased. This has never occurred in over 25 years with my Brooks Brothers boxers, and although their style is a bit stodgier than the MWs I will be buying only from BB in the future. The BB product, BTW, seems to last "forever" and they are really comfortable, high grade cotton.

Nice fabric, but fit is awful. Cut off circulation. Too tight around thigh and too tight when sitting in pelvis. After sitting a couple hours at my desk, I stood up and dull pain down below which lasted most the the day

Fit great, felt great all day. 3 Star review (and the reason I won’t buy anymore) is because they print the name, size and other information on the outside on the butt! Rather than on the inside where others can’t see it at the gym etc. Very weird and a complete turnoff

They are no better than Hanes' similar product, and with Hanes you can get 7 pairs for $15 -- a MUCH better value for a very similar product

I bought these and was excited to get them When I opened them I realized they have what would be the tag typically on the inside Completely visible and on your ass. It’s awful design. I don’t think I’ll even be trying on just throwing them away I’ll be sticking to Tommy John. Way better And a couple dollars cheaper per pair Completely disappointed even though it’s just underwear

  How can they claim this is a premium product when they can't get the basics (colorfast) right?

 I went for my constitutional (4 mile walk) and the small amount of perspiration caused the color to leach out of the brief onto my T-shirt. I rinsed them off in the sink, and the charcoal color poured out. My wife operates a gonzo laundry, everything goes in together (light, dark, delicate, etc.) It would have been a disaster had these gone into our laundry

The initial fit and feel is wonderful, but the quality isn't built to last. After five months, the waistbands started fraying at the top. I have Jockeys for the same price that have lasted three times as long. Too bad, because they could be great
