And then I'd say, I don't know, maybe 15 minutes or so, half hour, as it dries down, it almost goes into like BR540 territories. I was a little worried the first time I wore it because I'm like, oh, is this just like, are they just trying to be another dupe for BR540 because that's just been done to death and I'm just sick of that whole thing

 I love that. You know how that has that like mossiness to it. But if it like had a baby with really any like red current type of fragrance, oh, it's just, it is really, really good. Now the projection on this, I feel is decent

I honestly don't love this scent. I felt like this didn't carry "rose". It felt more musky and spicy, maybe floral (but not rose) and somewhat masculine.   It does last all day, which is excellent if you enjoy the scent

I love this perfume! I've had it for about three weeks now and am in love with it. The sent is so good. It is not overpowering like some perfumes I own, but a very pleasant one. My husband loves when I wear it also

This rose perfume carries very well! It's a tad sweeter than I would normally wear, but I think it's a great perfume for anyone looking for a floral scent. It isn't overwhelming - but the smell stays on you which is a plus!

I am disappointed that the smell only last on you for a few hours. A good perfume smell should last at least longer or all day.

Did not meet my expectations

 When I do wear this perfume, I wear it mostly for like special occasions or just times where I feel like I want to feel more put together. When I'm dressed up, I reach for this one. It does give me a boost of confidence when I wear it. I just find the scent to be very intoxicating and unique and sensual and different and it does stick out

 I don't smell it a lot on other people. So that's also a bonus for me. I have it on a strip here. So I'll just sniff it along as I talk about it

 But for the most part, I think I prefer this more so in cooler weather. It's just so awesome. And sometimes when I wear it, I do leave a scent trail. So say if I spray it on, and then I leave the room and then I'll walk in like a few minutes later and I can still smell it in the air

 Or I can't think of any perfume that's similar to Dior Addict. If you guys know anything, if you have tried something similar to it, I'd love to hear about that in the comments. But this to me is a mature smelling, rich and full bodied vanilla. It's not just that though

I agree with you though, they have amazing perfumes that have stood the test of time and retail and designer prices. They’re not the only one though. Dior and Chanel also have affordable masterpieces (Dior Addict, Coco) which are way better than many niche offerings IMO. You just have to stay selective

I know we all think it, and some of us don&#39;t want to admit it, but niche fragrances are way too expensive. Cremo&#39;s take on Santal 33, Palo Santo, smells 90% like Santal 33 by Le Labo. Cremo costs $25 while Le Labo is $300-400. Maybe Le Labo uses &quot;better ingredients&quot; but whos to say that&#39;s even true? Most of the notes are synthetic compounds anyway, aren&#39;t they? The IFRA seems to make changes every other day. Take a look through the reviews of any popular designer release on fragrantica, and you&#39;re guaranteed to find a few reviews lamenting about &quot;reformulation&quot; and how it killed the fragrance. Think of notes like amber- there&#39;s no fucking &quot;amber&quot; in your cologne. It&#39;s an accord based on other notes. That Calabrian Bergamot is probably the same as any other Bergamot note, but because it&#39;s &quot;Calabrian&quot;, the fragrance that contains it is hundreds of dollars more expensive. I&#39;ve never seen a bergamot in my life, and probably would have lived on for years and years without ever knowing what a bergamot was, if it wasn&#39;t for fragrances. Why should I pay so much more because it&#39;s Calabrian?

Then we have Guerlain. I read on this sub that &quot;everyone goes through a Guerlain phase&quot; and I finally hit mine. I&#39;ve been wearing cologne/fragrance since I was like 15, and I&#39;m 32. I didn&#39;t know Guerlain existed until a few years ago, let alone &quot;niche&quot; brands like Creed and Amouage. I got into Guerlain because their fragrances are good, and they have a lot of history. Once you discover the fragrance community, you&#39;re gonna run into Guerlain REAL quick. In fact, I realized that I knew what Guerlain was without even knowing them prior to discovering them. I&#39;d seen the name before, just never paid it much attention.

As with most of the general population, niche brands just have never been on my radar, and I had never cared or heard of them until I really started researching fragrances. It took me a few weeks to even figure out what &quot;niche&quot; meant, as I kept seeing it mentioned but just thought &quot;niche&quot; meant it was a special fragrance, unlike the others out there. Point is, you really won&#39;t run into &quot;niche&quot; frags unless you&#39;re looking for them. Sephora carries stuff like Replica, but those are pretty accessible for niche I would say. They don&#39;t smell like rotten poop wood or anything. If I didn&#39;t know what niche was, and I went to Sephora and got a Replica fragrance, I would just think it was another good designer fragrance. You gotta care about fragrances enough to figure out the differences between niche and designer.

Vetiver Guerlain, L&#39;Homme Ideal Cologne, Homme L&#39;eau Boisee. I have these three from Guerlain, and they smell better than any designer I&#39;ve ever smelled. None of them cost me more than $50 (even Cologne which is discontinued). I think L&#39;eau Boisee was less than $30 for a 1.7oz. Even CDNIM is more than that, and not NEARLY as high quality! I don&#39;t like everything I&#39;ve smelled from Guerain, but things like L&#39;Instant De Guerlain can be gotten for less than $30 and smell super high quality. Heritage, Jicky, Imperiale, etc- Guerlain has SO many good fragances, and they&#39;re less than $100 for most!

The thing about Guerlain is that I can smell a difference in their fragrances. They have a more natural scent profile, and feel less restricted by trends. I&#39;m sure there&#39;s synthetics in these too, as with everything, but they just smell so much better than other fragrances to me. Don&#39;t get me wrong- I love my Dior Fahrenheit, I love my Drakkar Noir. But Guerlain just feels a step above, and helped me to understand that niche perfumery is of a higher quality, and worth checking out. Guerlain smells classy and elegant, and I feel cool as hell wearing Guerlain. Even the name makes you feel classy. So French, and you need to learn how to pronounce it. I used to call it Guhr-layne. Lol.

I&#39;m rambling here, but my point is- how and why is Guerlain so cheap as compared to other niche brands, while still being niche quality? I know they do makeup/skincare too, but the general consensus I think is that they are niche. I&#39;ve smelled other niche fragrances from other brands- yes the quality is higher in all niche fragrances, but I think that Guerlain matches the quality at hundreds of dollars less.

You wouldn&#39;t be embarrassed to show off your Guerlains, would you? They&#39;re super highly regarded. I just find it interesting that Guerlain can stand right next to Creed, Amouage, Le Labo, MFK, etc in terms of quality and interesting scent profiles. Your Vetiver Guerlain will look and smell just as classy as your Creed Original Vetiver, but it&#39;s in the double digits, below $50 even, while Creed is gonna be like $250 at least. Guerlain has uniform bottles like Creed, and I think they look 100x cooler. Creed&#39;s are almost kind of tacky now to me because they&#39;re such a &quot;bro&quot; brand.

 At first I noticed a difference in the scent but now as I compare them further I do not. It may be that my body is processing the new bottle the same now. I think there can be a small difference in scent because like baking a cake, the recipe can be identical & change a little from one mixing to the next. The new perfume hits your skin & is heated by your body temp & a new bottle can react a little differently till your body starts processing it the same way as the last bottle

I just received this large size Dior Addict to replace a smaller size that was almost gone & came from a perfume store, so I'm sure it was authentic.
