 It's very difficult to control distance on short chips. I took it out of the bag after playing 6 rounds.

 Taking the more conventional approach, you can punch this ball up in the air and get a fair bit of spin on it, great if you need to get over some obstacles or stop it before it catches certain breaks. All in all a 10/10 club.

Great club, can really punch shots up to 120 yards!

 Now how does that impact the performance? It's a huge benefit over any other full face wedge you'll find in the market as the center of gravity is actually a little bit toe side. Amateurs, as we've done a lot of testing, tend to hit it out of that location. This is a really good wedge that's going to benefit them around the greens. Absolutely

So Hannah and I have really put the Mildgrind wedges through the paces around that green, we really enjoyed them but we've been joined by Dan from TaylorMade, he's just going to go into the tech of the wedge and just give us an idea of what you've improved really. Yeah I mean obviously with Mildgrind 3 what we've tried to do is build on the success of the Mildgrind series that we've had in years gone by you know and in terms of the shape and it's very much a classic wedge shape you know for the golfer that wants that we've still got our high toe range which is gonna sit in the range alongside Mildgrind 3 and we just want to build on the success in terms of the the raw face technology that we've had in these which has been exceptional you know it proves you know in wet conditions it's going to spin more it's going to get you more control and we've as this new raised rib groove in there which is which is ultimately going to help give us more spin and more control around the green foot for the golfer in all conditions. Yeah yeah and you can feel you can feel it on the face as well you're straight in there and just give us an idea you were talking earlier around the the precision you put into the bounce so that's to make sure that each bounce is the same is that right? That's it exactly the way like a precision mill toe on there and you know that's gonna give us consistency on the bounce now if we say take a 60 degree with 10 degrees of bounce yeah yeah with 10 degrees of bounce you know if that's done in a workshop done by you know by hand obviously there might be some discrepancies there in terms of dialing that in yeah but with the mill toe we know we can dial that into 10 degrees 8 degrees 9 degrees whatever that bounce is going to be in terms of the degree on on each wedge as well so it really you know takes that precision and quality of care to that next level

 Yeah, there's a little more bounce on the leading edge and then more heel relief, which that's just the way Tiger likes it. He wants to be able to have bounce going through the ball, but also be able to open it up and hit that flop shot. Yeah, so for golfers that don't know what the bounce is designed for, so for players that may have a steeper attack angle or play on softer turf conditions, a little bit more bounce is your friend.  When getting to hit this wedge line for the first time, I felt like these wedges set up very traditional. They've got a nice rounded leading edge. I felt like it was very easy to manipulate the way the club sat at address, giving me confidence on all of my short shots. Through impact, the grind on the sole of the club felt solid

 I hit this from various conditions, and I had no digging or no extra bounce on any of them. Being milled wedges, these clubs have a very soft feel. I like to measure the spin characteristics on a half swing. I feel like any wedge is going to give you adequate spin on a full shot, so measuring on a half swing, about a 40 to 45-yard shot, I was hitting a 60-degree wedge

 There are seven lofts available in the standard bounce, three lofts in low bounce, five in the high bounce, and there are two lofts available in a special tiger grind. Continued improvements which part of may be in my head or the fact we have new sand traps on our course but the wedge does seem more responsive on short pitches chips and flop shots. The degree of bounce seems right for me on florida turf
