 Now the RTX 4 comes with a Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400 shaft, which is quite interesting because that's a little bit heavier than wedge shafts tend to be. Normally they'll put an S200 in if your wedge flex is usually S300, because most people will try and make a wedge feel slightly lighter, because obviously you're not maybe not swinging as hard, particularly on some of those half shots. Cleveland have gone with this because they say that's what their tall players have, which is S400. So you know, if you're in that sort of level then it might work, personally I think it's a little bit heavy actually, I'd rather see the S300 or definitely S200 in here, because I think you'll want that sort of feel

 Probably the feel from this is very good. They've got what they call the feel balancing technology again, which is really just a technique where they're going to move the center of gravity more towards the center of the club, and then obviously if that point is behind where you're impacting the ball, it's going to feel a little better. You're going to get slightly better results. And the way they do that is having a little cavity at the bottom of the hosel, just underneath the shaft, because that saves the weight there and just moves the sweet spot, if you like, a little bit further towards the toe

 So that's going to be in your 56 to 60s. The mid is probably the one you're going to see in virtually all the lofts. You can get it right the way through the range from 46 up to 60 degrees, and that's really kind of your workhorse grind, and I think most people will suit that one very well. I think if you're an amateur player, maybe single-figures and upwards, you should be looking at mids, probably really should be going down any further than that

So it kind of depends on how you light your wedges, if you're wanting to have that lighter feel that maybe wedges have had in the past, then you might want to go down a shaft, and I think Cleveland will be able to custom fit you for that. However if you like a firmer wedge and you like to know where the club is, then maybe the S400 might suit you because sometimes, particularly on some of the testier, shorter shots which might be a little bit jumpy for some people, having that extra weight can make a difference

 Well, Cleveland is a name that's synonymous with wedges, so when they bring in a new one,

 And this is the RTX 4, which, not surprisingly, is a successor to the RTX 3.

 Now, in the past with wedges, they tend to have to design them to suit a multitude of

 handicaps and of players, but actually, since the RTX 3, they've brought out the CBX wedge,

 which I've reviewed on the golfalock.com site, and that was a cavity back wedge.

 They had quite a wider sole, and it was really there for the sort of mid to high handicappers

 to give them a bit more forgiveness, and really, when you're playing with a cavity back set

 of irons, you don't really want to be switching necessarily into a bladed wedge, particularly

 So by having that wedge, the RTX 4 gives them, Cleveland, the freedom, if you like, to create

 a wedge which is a bit more towards those lower handicapped players, and they're calling

 it a tour-authentic wedge, which is really what they mean by that.

 They're actually trying to create a wedge which is really for the specialist players,

 which I guess is what bladed wedges should be.

 When you compare it to the RTX 3, it is a little bit smaller.

 The top line is a little bit thinner, and it's just a little bit narrower in certain

 I think this is something they brought in for their tour players, because this is meant

 to be a tour authentic wedge, and that really gives players who are very good with the wedge

 You've got to be able to strike it well, particularly if you're playing on slightly soft conditions.

 So just be careful, try it out first before you might go for that.
