Chrome Mini Metro Messenger Bag Review

 How is this even a problem? p I'm a 6 ft 2 in tall 238 lb Athlete with no body fat and you'd think I was 400 lb. Trying to wear this thing half the time. I originally bought the mini metro and had to actually return it because it was so unwearable. I got the larger one and I can wear it as long as I have a t-shirt or something on

How is the strap this short?

  2. The seatbelt buckle feels like it's made out of light duty aluminum or tin, instead of the heavy duty steel from the older ones, as long as it holds up, it's a non-issue. Cost savings I assume?  Also, unlike the Metropolis the Citizen has nowhere to really stow the stabilizer strap when not in use. Am I missing something here? I don't always need/want to use the stabilizer strap

 I have the Citizen strap nearly maxed out, while my (older model) Metropolis and Kadet, I have around 8 inches of 'tail' to work with. Ultimately, I feel like I'll need to get a longer strap professionally installed..

Great Bags... but..

its good just wished the insides was bigger to carry more items its needs to be MORE expandable! overall i love the waterproof insides my items never get damaged...

 A little more strap allowance would really solve this problem, and it wouldn't cost them a whole lot. This is especially probably a concern for taller and those that have a larger build.  I like these bags a lot, but I still think that Chrome can perfect them just a little bit more!

 I would like to see them using more accents (especially a light colored liner to make finding things easier) to spruce up things a little bit.  My major gripe is with the strap system. It is very comfortable when adjusted all the way up, but there isn't a lot of versatility in how you can wear the bag, especially if your right shoulder gets sore.  Since I am unable to find a CHROME bag of the same size as my faithful "METROPOLIS". With trepidation and hesitation I am forced to return the "CITIZEN" and switch brands to a New York based competitor.

I returned this bag because of two reasons: (1) It was a lot bigger than I expected, even when I did measure it out. (2) The material is the equivalent of rough canvas, even though it looks smooth. Additionally, that strap pad is NOT thick enough to compensate for the weight of the bag once you put items in. I was wearing it for 5 minutes after putting my laptop in it and the strap was just cutting into me like none other

 The horrible strap design and the way the bag forces you to wear it one way, imo defeats the purpose of a messenger bag - you want these types of bags to be versatile, to have that pick-up-strap-up-and-go functionality to them, however this bag doesn't provide that. All in all I'd say the bag is a good example of design over function.

 Bold but stealthy and sleek looking enough to not command too much attention. + front horizontal storage: neat little compartment that I found myself using a lot. Great for when you want to have quick access to something.  Neutral: +/- Magnetic closure buckles: wonderful to use however feels insecure as I've encountered times where I've put down the bag and seen the bucket closures come undone

 so let's just jump into it. So on the strap, there is this magnetic strap part here that when you pull it outward, the whole thing comes nice and loose and you can grab the shoulder pad part, put it to where you want it to go, and then the loose part. You can just put it to whatever size you like, whatever you feel like, and then this part goes right back up again on the strap Here there is actually a moldy strap where the support strap would have gone, so you would click it onto here and then connect it to the back corner of the bag. And at the time I didn't realize that I needed it because I don't normally wear those ones

 Um another way you can make this item more slack is you take this bracket which is little bent bracket and you do a little clicky click thing and it'll step it down and make it a bit more slack for you as well. But once again I would grab the shoulder strap, pull it to where my liking would be, and then adjust the loose strap to where I feel good about it. So that's it. Just wanted to, uh, let you guys know about the strap system

I really like the style of this bag. It's sleek, modern and large (wide) enough to hold two 17" laptops with a bit of room for other stuff. Unfortunately, the pad on the strap is fixed at one end and not adjustable. Unless you are *always* going to sling it across your back like you're on a bit, the pad will be in the middle of your back and the strap will dig into your shoulder

Nice Bag, but the strap is a deal breaker

Laptop zippered pocket does not fit my 15" HP laptop. You can barely squeeze it in, as the zippered opening is narrower than the pocket. Also not deep enough so it sticks out, making that pocket being water proof pointless. The main flap sides that help keep water out, also prevent the flap from staying open or being able to flop it over so you can get stuff out

I can't use this bag. It's made really well, like obviously bombproof, but the design and fit are so bad for me that I just can't do it.  The strap is bewilderingly over-engineered to the point that it only fits one way on your body. It has one point that's designed to shape to your shoulder, and if you're fat/large-chested or you want to wear the bag so it bounces off your hip, it won't fit

I like to wear messengers across my back when I'm moving but the rest of the time I loosen the strap and slide the bag down onto my right hip so I can access the inside of the bag without taking it off, or drape my jacket over the top so I don't have to hold it. You just can't do that with this bag
