Some people complain that the Celestron warranty is not as good as the competition and this is true. Some of the other brands have a "no questions asked" return policy for a good period time

 I see a bright clear image with no noticeable chromatic aberration. Field of view is much better than most 8x32 binoculars and the image is sharp over a wider area than other under-$300 binoculars that I have tried.  In fact, I kept these - and I may get another pair for my wife. Considering the low price, these are excellent (brightness and sharpness were very good), well-constructed, wide FOV (field of view), a little chunky yet semi-compact binos. Plus, Athlon offers a worry-free, no-fault warranty. I'll keep these laying around the house or in the car

Bought for a trip to Chilean Patagonia on the recommendation of a birder friend. The binoculars have exceptional imaging whether the object is 20 feet or 2,000 feet away. Comes with a carry case, neck strap, carry strap for case and a chest rig that I found not useful. Great binoculars but maybe not for hikers

 When I first tried these I hated them. I often had problems with collimation. I realized after use that the issue wasn't the optics but with me. Once I had them the way I liked/needed them for my less-than-perfect vision they have been great

 I bought these for closer to $200 than $300 after various discounts. At $200 I'd buy another pair. At $300 I might consider something else, but if you want a pair of comparatively cheap binoculars for every day use take a long look at these. I am pretty happy so far

Nice all-around binoculars

For the price these are excellent binoculars. I tested these against the 8x42 monarch 5, monarch 7, vortex vipers, diamondbacks and razors. I returned all, other than the razors (10x42) and these. I thought these performed in low light conditions comparably to the vipers and monarch 7’s both of which are almost double the cost

they are a little heaver than the Nikon but not bad around 18oz. The deal maker for me was the magnesium frame and housings, metal eye cups and over all solid feel of the Trailseeker Must be the Old School in this pensioner!! So if your at this price point you won't go wrong with the Celestrons

 For my casual needs, there's little benefit to obtain top of the line optics for slightly marginal visual improvements.

 I also wanted the best lens system available. To date, that leaves one manufactured and one model of theirs. I ordered the Swarovski 12X by 50 Els. I was just amazed that this 12X power can be handheld

 They are an absolute delight to hold and fit Your hands perfectly. The ability to hold the high power is all due to lens coatings used and the highest quality of their optic glass. The eyepieces have 14 elements and the lens coatings produce images with no perceived glare. I did purchase a tripod for fixed viewing and I'll admit the images are even better on that stable platform; but, for stepping through the woods, these Swarovski 12 by 50 Els are nothing short of spectacular

 The images are crystal clear and seem to be right in Your face close. The close focus is nearly at You toes, 12 to 15 feet. They are an absolute delight to hold and fit Your hands perfectly. The ability to hold the high power is all due to lens coatings used and the highest quality of their optic glass

 I began with 6X, and then 8X, From My old Navy days on shipboard watch We had 7X power which have been the standard power since World War Two. That is most commonly believed to be the great overall power and that has some basis of fact. These days I want to be able to see crystal clear images, in minute detail in possibly dimmer than daylight conditions as that's when the majority of animals and birds are out. I wanted the largest objectives I could find giving the largest size exit pupil

After five years of heavy and very enjoyable use in and out of the USA, the green rubber exterior shock coating on these bins was looking a bit worn. We returned them to Swarovski's Rhode Island office and got them back in under three weeks. Not only were the bins given a new external rubber coating, but they were given new eye cups, had the focus mechanism repaired (we hadn't even noticed whatever problem they fixed) and were realigned, all for free

 Swarovski really does stand solidly behind its products and we highly recommend them to you.
