The review is for Carson 12x50 roof prism binoculars. I think Carson has come up with another winner here. I like the fact that these binoculars are lightweight (easy to hand hold steady). The images they produce are sharp and reasonably bright

 I also liked the price ($139.95 + tax = $151) as it included all the features I liked, in addition to the multi-coated lenses. The deciding factors was the sleek, all-black look and the lifetime guaranty. It comes with a cleaning cloth, a nice case with some pockets, and a neck strap

 There are lens caps at each end which is nice too. The lenses are so clear and you can see quite far. I actually want to get myself a pair but I need to find a reason to justify why! I might go with bird-watching lol. Even though this brand is not as well-known as the others, I like the quality of these and I think they were reasonably-priced for the amount of features

 You know that they they're good enough to do the job again, the the quality of the eye cups. I guess it keeps the price down, but believe me out in the field not doing what i've just done there. They stay nicely in place regardless handling. It'S got a delightful focus of there with no tight spots or anything they're lovely to use, and, as per usual, i always comment on the connectors for the strap and the way i hold them

 Your hands are really not coming in contact with those, so that is excellent news, so optics wise, you get around about seven and a half degrees field of view with these, which is not not the widest in view, but again coming down to the price. These are not a 300 pound plus set of binoculars, but it really is a delightful wide field of view very bright image, very good contrast, but the thing that stood out for me most with these was the chromatic aberration, or should i say, the lack of it Unless you're, looking at very, very high contrast subjects, there is no chromatic aberration to be seen at all, just on the right hand, side, maybe a little red, color fringing, just very slight, but that is when i was testing on very high contrast subjects. And although there is a little bit of pin cushion distortion, you know these are not flat field binoculars. The focus is, is pretty constant to the outer like 85 90 percent, so very good, considering they are not classed as a flat field binocular

 I tested these and i pushed them up hard against my eyes and they didn't budge that only moved, because i was putting a lot of pressure on there. So don't let that put you off. You know that they they're good enough to do the job again, the the quality of the eye cups. I guess it keeps the price down, but believe me out in the field not doing what i've just done there

 The focus rings are a little sluggish and the view has a small amount of chromatic aberration, but they are sharp enough in the focus department. I didn't want to spend a huge amount, and I got a decent binoc for a good price.

So far I am really impressed with these binoculars. The clarity is great and the focus nob is smooth. Even with glasses, the binos do a great job. The only gripe I have is with the neck strap

Great Binos but get a New Strap

Very comfortable eye relief, large eyepiece lenses, and adjustable eyecups make for comfortable viewing of entire field of view, even with eyeglasses on. Exit pupil is round and seems to be the about full 5mm in diameter - so there is no significant internal vignetting like in many cheap brands. Light losses are reasonably negligible - when binos are held at a distance toward a white wall, exit pupils seem about as bright and as white as the wall seen directly. The image is sharp and clear for the price (one could say you get what seems like 80% of image quality of top brands for the tenth of their price

 It'S much much better. The pictures and that i take through the binoculars and the video that i took to binoculars was really really much clearer, with much lesser chromatic aberration with much lesser um like uh, like tint, like the previous previous binoculars i had was like uh like it had this Greenish tint and it didn't have any um like eye relief and yep. So, okay, i should show you the eye relief, so the eye relief kind of spins out like this on both sides - [ Music, ] yeah. So because i wear eye glasses, it's really good that there's this eye relief, and so i can look through the lens without without any difficulty

 This is really nice grip over here. So it really helps me to to hold the the binoculars really well and it's because it's a it's a roof prism binoculars compared to my previous one was, i think, poro present binoculars. I didn't really want to carry such a bulky looking binoculars, and so this was a really good option. Also, it looks like much more modern than the the poro prism, one that i used to have

Great Binocs for the Price!

 I was leaning towards a pair ofBushnell Legacy WP 8 x 42 Binocular Size: 8x42 due to the great reviews and similar specs. What pushed me back towards Celestron was how impressed I was with theCelestron 52268 C90 Mak Spotting scope (Black) , Celestrons website with the compare option and of course Celestrons limited lifetime warranty! Any company that can offer this kind of warranty and still make a profit has to have a good & reliable product!

 The first is the magnification and the second is the objective lens size. These are 8X42 so you have 42mm objective lens and the binoculars magnify the image 8X. You should also realize that not only the image is magnified but also any motion, bumps, waves, bounces etc. You can always mount binoculars to a tripod for astronomy but this would not be very practical on the water

 Once everything is perfectly in focus and you are looking straight thru you will see that objects up to several hundred yards now `pop' in and appear dimensional.  As I mentioned earlier, I researched binoculars for a couple of months before making this purchase and was NOT disappointed. I was leaning towards a pair ofBushnell Legacy WP 8 x 42 Binocular Size: 8x42 due to the great reviews and similar specs.  The strap these came with is a good strap — so we used it to upgrade the strap on my 7 year old’s small binoculars. The rubber on the twist-up eye pieces tends to pop off when you remove the lens cap, which is annoying to me, but my 12 year old hasn’t complained. The carrying case it came with is nice.
