 If you wanna butter this board, you gotta get your weight way out on the nose or the tail, right into those softer spots, right where that flat section is, and really press into it. Expect a lot of rebound. Expect it to fight you. Just expect this board to want to just push back on you

 It does some things very well and it does some things very, very much in the realm of mediocre at best. I understand who this board is for and that rider will probably fully enjoy it. I am not that rider. This is not the board for me, but I think it does a disservice by having the DOA name

 You wanna keep your weight out over it. It's gonna give you some fight. It's honestly not the best if you're trying to slow speed butter. You need to really be hauling ass and really press into it, and the same can be said about jibbing with it

 You have to know what you're doing. You have to just be prepared for it. You're gonna engage it off the front, and that's gonna drive it into that turn, and then you have to understand when to steer it from the middle of the board through the back and where to finesse your weight and how to keep it engaged, because if you don't, you're gonna just have a sloppy ass carve, to be honest with you. This is a board that, the more speed and the more muscle you put into it, yeah, the better your carve's gonna go, but if you're doing slower speeds and you're still trying to lay a trench, not gonna happen

The 2021 Capita Super DOA Snowboard Review

 With this board you're going to get the same basic specs as you'll see in the regular DOA but you'll have a lighter weight construction, a stiffer board and just an all around more aggressive ride. With the Super DOA you're going to get a true twin shape so this board is ideally designed for a freestyle setting and because it's the stiffer version of the DOA it's meant to ride a little harder in that park setting so whether you're hitting those big gnarly rails or stomping 40, 50, 60 foot jumps this is the board you're going to want to ride. In the Super DOA you will get Capita's V1 resort profile so a traditionally cambered dominant board which you'll have regular camber through the length of the board but towards the tips you'll have a flat zero camber transition section, a small rocker section and then Capita's WAPOW flat kick tail technology. All of that is going to give you a super snappy and responsive board for when you're hitting those big ollies

 They have built structure into it straight out of the press that's going to keep it running fast right out of the wrapper. Because this is an aggressive board you're going to get a stiffer flex than you'll see in the regular Defenders of Awesome board. Obviously with that you're going to get a much snappier and powerful ollie as well. One of my favorite things about the Super DOA and all of Capita's boards is that they are handcrafted in the Mothership Factory in Austria

 So here we have the Capita Super DOA. The big brother board to one of Capita's best selling boards, the DOA are also known as the Defenders of Awesome. Because of the super carbon additives in the core, the 3D core profiling, the camber, and a whole bunch of other features it will take a lot of energy to put in to manipulate but that means you'll get a lot of energy, snap, and power out. If you've been in love with the regular DOA in the past but you want a little bit more of a board, this is your next step

 It was kind of a mix of everything. It was a little wind here and there and I wrote it with my Rome Black label bindings and my K2 Thraxis boots. As this is the Ultra Mountain Twin, it is on the stiffer side. So it's one of those all-mountain freestyle flexes that's just a hair stiffer than other things on the market

 Now the big thing to note is there are limitations when you have this on edge. You're just going to feel it when you drive into it as hard as you can. You can only lay it over so far before it won't let you go any further. It's just where it wants to stop

 That's just the way it's designed with its flex. You feel it, it snaps well. It's one of those boards that wants to get you up in the air. While this board is stiffer, you got some 3D shaping in the nose and the tail as well as rocker

 So when you get into rutted out terrain, as it is stiffer, it wants to just creep up on top everything or push right through it. Only if you like drop down hard are you going to get some of that body jarring chatter that really does resonate more in your knees and ankles and you feel it at the end of the day. With the slightly stiffer flex, you have to load up the camber just a little bit more than the regular Mountain Twin. With that said, once you load it up, it engages that rocker in the tail and it creates a springboard effect

 As this is the Ultra Mountain Twin, it is on the stiffer side. So it's one of those all-mountain freestyle flexes that's just a hair stiffer than other things on the market. With that said, stiffest section is through the center where the camber is and then it's softer out the tip and the tail where that rocker is. There's still some torsional flex, but it's not overwhelming and you don't really have to worry about twisting the board too much

The 2022 Jones Ultra Mountain Twin Snowboard Review

 Who would I recommend this board for? I think this board would be perfect for those bigger riders, those guys that are heavier that want a camber dominant board with a little bit of rocker in the tip, someone that's going to go out and charge the whole mountain and wants a board that's going to push back when they push into it. Someone that doesn't mind a little fight in their board. This is for that guy that wants a high end, stiffer, all mountain freestyle board. This is a quiver of one type of board for those bigger guys or for someone that's that aggressive

 It will let you do what you want. You want to center flex this board and really push it to the limits, go for it. You want to get deep and hard on it with a carve, go for it. This is a board for laying trenches, pushing yourself to the limit, and really getting out there after it, going from edge to edge, ripping bank slalom turns, laying a Eurocarve in front of a hardbooter and looking at it and going, you suck, you have to wear hardboots to do this

 The Ultra Mountain Twin is stiff and aggressive. There's a little bit of play out in the tips, and then it stiffens up through the middle. The big thing to note with this year's model is they remilled the core, so there's more torsional flex to it than in years past. You can center steer the board a little easier now

 The Ultra Mountain Twin got a little bit of an upgrade this year by giving it more torsional flex. This makes it more versatile in my opinion and that's why this list will reflect that of comparable boards. That's why this list of comparable boards will reflect that. The DC Media Blitz, the Capita DOA, the Endeavour KTV, the GNU Riders Choice, the Lib Tech TRS

 So you can probably find the best board for your boot size, your weight, and to a much lesser extent, your height. Shape. Directional twin. It's centered on side cut, but the nose is a little longer than the tail, so it's got some setback on board
