  It's bigger than a typical mt biking pack so would be good for an all day long epic ride.  It is also really great for short to moderate day hikes.  Look, I love being able to organize my stuff, and this has plenty of pockets and places to stash snacks, keys (every pack should have a key fob and this one does!), first aid kit, tire repair stuff, snacks, extra layers, snacks.  I haven't seen many packs this size that have the pockets on the hip belt -- bonus score

 The hydration pack is a nice size with a cool feature to keep it suspended up high inside the pack --  a plastic "handle" that makes it easy to fill in from my fridge door AND it slides inside a "pouch" inside the pack to keep it from sliding down to the bottom.  Pretty dang slick.  Overall this is a really sweet little pack (and it actually looks better in person!).

Nice versatile pack!

 This is on the smaller size for a backpack so more like a daypack if you're running about town. Handy zippers makes getting to things like a wallet easier.

 Of course, it's a Camelbak, so it has a 2.5-liter water reservoir or whatever you want to put

 2.5 liters, that's like the size of one of those big, huge Coke bottles, so it's a good

 This will sustain you all day on the trail.

 You see that little plastic hook right there?

 Just like a little plastic clip on the reservoir.

 Now inside the pack, it has a baffle, like a little hard loop, so when you fill it up

 with water, instead of just sliding it in there and having all the water drain and create

 like a bulb on the bottom of the pack, you slip the baffle, you slip the little hook

 right in the baffle, and it keeps the reservoir nice and slim.

 That's a sweet feature, really smart idea by Camelbak.

 All right, and this is their Big Bite suck system.

 It allows 20% more fluid than the previous models, so that's pretty sweet.

 It's got everything else you need on it.

 I mean, you could even ski in this thing, you can put a shovel right there if you want,

 but that's just for stuffing jackets, kind of miscellaneous stuff you want to get into.

 Nice little features on the top here for all your knick-knacks and things like that.

 Obviously, a huge main body, got some shoes in there right now, but to get all your lunch

 And of course, it has the necessary chest strap and a really nice, but light, beefy

 waist strap with a little storage in it as well.

 So you can pop all the contents and then squeeze it down nice and tight, keep it nice and safe and stop it from moving around. Take a look at the back. We'Ve got some great systems in place here, designed to keep you nice and cool first. One is this air director on the back here: it's channel up the middle just allow there to circulate up through the bag, keeping you nice and cool

 Also got nice lightweight, shoulder straps as well. Its got the women's specific curve in them as well just to keep everything nice and comfortable, and the fleece lining as well to prevent it irritating your skin again with the mesh and padding on there to keep you nice and cool got loops on both sides. So you can feed the hose through and also a chest clip as well. This is fully adjustable

 Then, if we start at the top here, we've got a pocket which leads into a fleece-lined compartment. This is great form of your sunglasses. You, mp3 player, keeps everything nice and protected in front of that we have the zips just lead into the main compartment, just quite a large compartment this.  First, it stays in a dedicated area of the pack, so there's no guessing where it's supposed to go. It stays in place thanks to the speed clip which is much easier to use than your typical webbing loop with a buckle. Gregory Inertia 20 Hydration Pack

Bummed the 20L size appears to be going the way of the dinosaurs since it's the perfect day pack size imo. 

The load lifter straps were a welcome sight as they're usually only present on larger pricier packs. That was an appreciated and helpful addition. 

To give an idea of my use case I mainly just go on pretty laid back mostly flat trail walks of one to four hours but I live in an area that gets triple digit hot so a hydration pack is a must even on short outings. Even just existing outside in the summer needs plenty water of some sort.

The large finger friendly zipper pulls are nice but the way they're put on they exert force at the side of the zipper not the end which means some binding if I pull fast. The solution for that is easy though: just pull them slowly.
