True, the stainless steel doesn't release food as readily, and the pans have a tendency to dull (without upkeep), but I didn't buy these for their aesthetics, there were purchased for their ability to cook our food evenly and quickly.

I was beyond excited to get them and for the first few months they were great but they don’t hold up. They cook great for the most part but the durability is horrible. The design and look are great, if only the durability were as good. I have used Calphalon for years but will be going to a different brand after this

We cook more than anyone we know and had gone through 2 sets of well-ranked non-stick pans from Costco. They were fine, but we give them a workout and the covering finally wore out. I did a ton of research and first tried the Costco Cuisinart set. It was good quality, but the sizes were all too small, so I returned them and bought this set

If quality matters, this set is for you! If you want for displaying, you'll be using barkeeper on the inside for stains, not food sticking, after each use. But, that said, each pots, pans are a beauty, and a joy to use. I'm blessed.

I haven't tried the short handles (both on the lids and the really short handles on the sauce and sauté pans), but I imagine they're not useable without oven mitts. Debating whether or not to keep these, as the "stainless steel handles stay cool while cooking" is definitely not as described. Will probably cook some noodles to see if the whole handle gets untouchable after 10 minutes of being on heat.

Ours was manufactured in China, but that was pretty much expected. It is stainless so those expecting ease of clean up like Teflon or ceramic will be disappointed obviously, but stainless is a whole different animal and if you treat it right and use it properly it works and cleans up almost easily as modern chemical based cookware without the worry of what your feeding your family unknowingly. In other words, it's not for the 'super' lazy cook if you want it to continue to look great, and it does look great, it needs a bit of care

(I had a cheap Paula Dean set that looked better after a year) so for the price I would expect better durability. I think for the price you can find other space saving options for less.

The riveted handles look and feel bullet proof. They do come pristine and polished so if you plan on doing any cooking you have to get over the fact that they will acquire scuffs and slight discoloration over time, but their performance will last. The one negative I have to give this set is that the 12" fry pan has a less than ideal flare to its sides. They flare out at such a shallow angle that it reduces the area of flat cooking surface that's available

It has the same diameter as the fry pan which has a 10 inch diameter. I am used to cooking on an 11 1/2 to 12 inch diameter sauté pan. The larger pan I can cook a whole meal for the family. Unfortunately with this small pan I cannot fit as much

I believe this set has the best value and size selection. The pan sizes of 10 and 12 are just right. Most of the cheaper tramontina has 8 and 10 instead. The large saute pan is great for family sized meals

I never put it in the dishwasher (even though it is supposedly safe to do so with these) and always wait until they are completely cool to clean them with a soft sponge. Then, i immediately let them dry, so they are not sitting in water which supposedly can damage the nonstick coating after a long period of time. Even then, with the pan that I typically use once a day (so about 19 times now) already has a chip on the nonstick coating. (pictures attached) I will edit this post in the future if anything changes, but overall I think it is still worth it if you have a really small storage space for pots and pans

That is for cast iron because cast iron absorbs the oil, then makes a coating of oil and carbon after a good seasoning that creates a non-stick surface. Stainless does not due this. When cooking with OIL, you must heat up oil first to prevent sticking. There are videos on how to do this and it works great

These are very well made pots and pans - but very, very heavy! I would preferred them to be a bit lighter as it causes me to think twice about using them. But if you don’t mind the weight, they are high quality.

I’d give this 4.5 stars if I could. This is great cookware and does save on space. It heats evenly and is so easy to clean

NOTE- This particular set was made in Brazil and has glass covers, which is my preference. They clean easily and maintain their polish.

She apologized for the problem I was having with the 6 quart stock pot. After reviewing the pictures I emailed to them she initiated a replacement stating that she will personally monitor the case to make sure that the replacement is promptly sent to me. She did not require that I ship the defective pot back to Calphalon. I am therefore increasing my point score from 4 to 5 since Calphalon stands behind its product, has outstanding customer service, increasing my confidence in the lifetime warranty that this set comes with

This company does not honor its warranties. Non stick coating works around six months before peeling.
