 It seemed that the ball was still able to get through the air well and the carry numbers were as expected. I never liked to hit a wedge shot at full power so with a flag set out at 100 yards with a gap wedge I was more than happy to be hitting the green there with just a smooth swing.  Allowing me to better visualize where I needed to land the ball in order to get it close. I tested the MD5S in 52 Deg. 50 6 Deg and 6 Deg. Which is the same as my current setup and so provided the perfect chance for comparison

 Obviously when you get a wedge with brand new grooves you're bound to get a bit of extra grip. But I found the spin was consistent and also predictable. There's no point having your ball come skidding to a halt if you can't judge when it's going to happen. It might look great but it doesn't help if you keep coming up 10 feet short

 And so it was great to feel the clubhead gliding through the turf. I tested this both on a soft. Spongy fairway lies around the green and was really impressed with the versatility of this grind, having been suitably impressed out on the course. I headed over to the range to check whether all the numbers stacked up

 It's not one of my favorite clubs, I've told you guys that before, I'm not really crazy about that one. So I was trying to find something that could kind of fill that gap, and so after doing some research, talking to my local club pro and getting advice from folks at Golf Galaxy, I came up with the 52. So this should be nicely between the pitching wedge and the 56 somewhere, I think on average around the 100 yard mark. And so that's what we're here today to find out

 And then I hope to be able to go out on the course and we'll set up a couple of balls in that distance range, or we'll hit them towards the green and we'll see how things shake out. And then I'll give you my full honest opinion on this, this is a purchase that I made myself. As I always share, I'm not sponsored yet. And so even when I become sponsored, it's something that we're always going to bring honest reviews to you as something that is important to me, and I hope it's important to you because I want to know, will these things help me out when I'm out on the course? And do they really make a difference? Or are they not worth it? And that's what we're here to find out

 I love the construction. I love the feel. I love the grip. As you saw on the range, the accuracy is great

 So this should be nicely between the pitching wedge and the 56 somewhere, I think on average around the 100 yard mark. And so that's what we're here today to find out. I'm going to hit some here on the range, I've got my Garmin R10 set up so we can do some analysis on distance, on the club head speed, on the ball spin rate. I'm going to hit a couple with my 60 degree, a couple with the 56, and we'll do some comparisons to those numbers

Like many I had a "gap" between by 48 degree Pitching Wedge and my 56 degree sand wedge. I already have a 60 degree JAWS MD5 Wedge so when I went 52 degree wedge shopping it might not be surprising why I landed on the 52 degree variant. Watch now to get my initial impressions and my initial review. I used my #GarminR10 to measure the club distance and spin rate compared to my 56 and 60 degree wedges. JAWS MD5 Platinum Chrome Wedge Review || 52 Degree

 I've got one with 54 and another with 58 degrees of loft. They've got visual appeal, versatility and were a great value. You won't be disappointed if you try them.

I was a devoted Titleist Vokey wedge player until I tried the Calloway Jaws MD5 Chrome. It is meeting all my expectations. I'm a mid to high handicap senior and need a reliable game from 60 yards in to save par or maybe drop a birdie. Workable Club!

  Combined with the high launch I've never had problems holding greens.  I tried the G425's but for some reason the same black dot seems more upright to me and I couldn't gell with them.  I really had a tendency to pull the G425's left and they felt harsher to me.  Ended up staying with the G410's as they still fit my game perfectly

Still the best IMO of GI

 I purchased the 50° wedge to compliment my 54, 58, & 60. My 58 is an 8° LBW bounce and my 60 is a 10° C bounce so I switch between them to best suit my New England Summer and Florida Winter course conditions. I do wish there was a 48° option for an AW to better fit the gap between my Apex 43° PW and MD5 SW.

 Now how does that impact the performance? It's a huge benefit over any other full face wedge you'll find in the market as the center of gravity is actually a little bit toe side. Amateurs, as we've done a lot of testing, tend to hit it out of that location. This is a really good wedge that's going to benefit them around the greens. Absolutely

 Makes it perfect kind of to blend down all the way from real edges, right? Yes. Absolutely. Now we'll kind of transition to a different model. Yes

 So don't have to worry about hitting them behind the ball. We've got a little more bounce you can see on the three-tiered sole here. This is new to this generation as well. And it's really a useful club for the guy who struggles to get the ball on the green and doesn't have that kind of consistency that the better players, the tour players are used to seeing

 So it's almost like you can turn it off and on maybe. This is a fun one, tight lie, not much green, I'm going to go for a crazy lob, so can I actually do this? And if you can see there, like the top of the bottom of the, or the leading edge is definitely presenting. Obviously a bit of a silly one, if you're nervous about your chipping tight lie, not particularly loads of green to work with, could putt it, you probably wouldn't hit this shot. But let's try every situation, because in golf, if you have a club that can't help you in some situations, it might become redundant, useless

 Let's see what this soul does for me. This is a very duffy, tight lie and it's very wet, we've had a lot of rain and this is the initial thing I really like. So hitting the ball this way, look at the size of that scrape, so I've not dug, but the ground's very, very wet, we've had loads of rain here in the UK and I'm gliding across just literally taking a tiny layer of grass off the top of that, off the top of the turf. No digging, with help of the smart soul in effect, creating a decent gyp shop, like that from that lie, happy with that

 There are some different clubs which we'll talk about, we'll talk about the ideas of technology and what have you, I'm going to try it from some different lines and show you what I feel. I mean, if we look at the initial shape as I look down at the ball, like there's plenty of face, so what you'd call friendly. The top line is medium to thick, you don't see it as much in this club because it's bent back. As soon as you start looking underneath, obviously you get the junky soul, which is huge

 I'm just going to play a straight on shot for that. This is a wet UK muddy lie, this is basically just mud. Yeah, that sole feels like I'm glad it's there. You've got to work out how good or bad your short game is, how you play it
