Kilroy is a freestyle collective of riders that we have, slightly different to mainline Burton and it definitely has a freestyle influence. Yeah, so this board is a lot of fun for a freestyler. 2020 / 2021 | Burton Kilroy Twin Snowboard | Video Review

 Hey, it's Loki here with a review of the 2020 Burton Kilroy Twin. It's a medium soft flexing, true twin board with the traditional camber profile. It started out with the Kilroy boards being cheaper versions of the Burton Process and Custom and the Kilroy Process and Kilroy Custom got pretty popular because they were pretty good value for money. The names got confusing though, so the Kilroy Process is now called the Kilroy Twin

 It's made for park riders who are on a budget. Apart from the camber profile, the best feature is it has a proper sintered base which is unusual for boards at this price level. The Kilroy versions keep the prices down by using the heavier and cheaper cores which are around about 100g heavier than the same size board in the non Kilroy version. I'm riding the 155cm 2020 model with Burton mission binding set up to angles of positive 12 on the front foot, negative 9 on the back and a stance width that is just a bit narrower than the reference point

 Burton Rate It is having a medium soft flex which felt about right to me. The camber profile stops it from feeling too soft and it didn't take too much effort to get a decent ollie from it. If a drop or some terrain surprised me, I was able to put the tail down first and let the board absorb the impact so my legs didn't have to deal with it as much. Having a sintered base on a board at this price is a pretty good feature so speed was never a problem though I also was riding on good snow at the time

 The edge hold on the Kilroy Twin is good but you would expect that from a full camber board. Even on icy sections, never felt like it was going to slip out.  If you wanna butter this board, you gotta get your weight way out on the nose or the tail, right into those softer spots, right where that flat section is, and really press into it. Expect a lot of rebound. Expect it to fight you. Just expect this board to want to just push back on you

 It does some things very well and it does some things very, very much in the realm of mediocre at best. I understand who this board is for and that rider will probably fully enjoy it. I am not that rider. This is not the board for me, but I think it does a disservice by having the DOA name

 You wanna keep your weight out over it. It's gonna give you some fight. It's honestly not the best if you're trying to slow speed butter. You need to really be hauling ass and really press into it, and the same can be said about jibbing with it

 You have to know what you're doing. You have to just be prepared for it. You're gonna engage it off the front, and that's gonna drive it into that turn, and then you have to understand when to steer it from the middle of the board through the back and where to finesse your weight and how to keep it engaged, because if you don't, you're gonna just have a sloppy ass carve, to be honest with you. This is a board that, the more speed and the more muscle you put into it, yeah, the better your carve's gonna go, but if you're doing slower speeds and you're still trying to lay a trench, not gonna happen

The 2021 Capita Super DOA Snowboard Review

 With this board you're going to get the same basic specs as you'll see in the regular DOA but you'll have a lighter weight construction, a stiffer board and just an all around more aggressive ride. With the Super DOA you're going to get a true twin shape so this board is ideally designed for a freestyle setting and because it's the stiffer version of the DOA it's meant to ride a little harder in that park setting so whether you're hitting those big gnarly rails or stomping 40, 50, 60 foot jumps this is the board you're going to want to ride. In the Super DOA you will get Capita's V1 resort profile so a traditionally cambered dominant board which you'll have regular camber through the length of the board but towards the tips you'll have a flat zero camber transition section, a small rocker section and then Capita's WAPOW flat kick tail technology. All of that is going to give you a super snappy and responsive board for when you're hitting those big ollies

 They have built structure into it straight out of the press that's going to keep it running fast right out of the wrapper. Because this is an aggressive board you're going to get a stiffer flex than you'll see in the regular Defenders of Awesome board. Obviously with that you're going to get a much snappier and powerful ollie as well. One of my favorite things about the Super DOA and all of Capita's boards is that they are handcrafted in the Mothership Factory in Austria
