 Awesome for carving, edging, feel like edge control all the way from tip to tail, but on the downside when we're in those really tight, basically a bike trail, that tendency to lock in makes it harder to scrub speed and not eat it off that track because it's pretty hard. With the setback made it much more comfortable cruising through the powder, much more natural stance just riding through and so could focus more on putting some freestyle in, doing some tricks and some butters, and considering the conditions I thought it did really, really well. Overall, super fun park board, definitely for that person that wants that more traditional feeling snowboard and you're looking for a kind of quiver killer that can go all over the mountain and just shred. 2023 Burton Free Thinker - Powder Day Demo - Think Outside the Box?

 In the Freethinker, you're going to get a nice mid flex, so not too soft and not too stiff. I would consider this a great Goldilocks flexible board meant to be maneuverable and do what you want when you want. On the underside of this board, you're going to get Burton's WFO base, which stands for Wide Fucking Open. That means this is a porous base, so it wants to hold and absorb wax to keep you running faster for longer

 That's also going to help reduce the weight a little bit in this board. Because this is a straight up twin board, this is going to be directed a little more towards that park rider. With a twin, it's going to ride exactly the same way going forward as it is backwards or switch. So that means if you are looking for a park board to ride switch, do switch tricks just the same as you're doing regular tricks, this is the board that you want

 Along with the regular camber and twin shape, you're also going to get a twin flex. So you're going to have the same flex in the tail throughout the board as you're going to have in the nose. In the Freethinker, you're going to get a nice mid flex, so not too soft and not too stiff. I would consider this a great Goldilocks flexible board meant to be maneuverable and do what you want when you want

I've been snowboarding for a few years now and I cannot imagine anything topping this. That being said, I have a dilemma. I went to get a board for the first time to stop renting. It's awesome, skip the line, hit the lift. This being said, I got fitted into something that I didn't know wouldn't work very well for me. The bindings were sized too small, and the board is not quite the performer that I was hoping for. It doesn't seem designed for 'speed' but more for playing around and hitting stuff...a 'rock board' if you will. Now I'm not entirely surprised that the bindings were fitted small as I wear a size 13 boot, 6' 4", and 205lbs. I already have some bindings on the way, but I'd like a board that will not only fit my feet, but has more of a powerhouse design if you will. I know directional boards are an option, or other styles which are great, but im looking for a specific board that you like, or heard other like.
