The Good Ride

This is already one of my favorite jackets. I was invited to a snowboarding trip in Colorado where the temperature ranged from single digits for the low and mid 20's for the highs. I immediately received respect from the other snowboarders in our group for wearing my Burton jacket, but little did they know I've never been on a snowboard. I knew up in the mountain it was going to be cold & windy and that I would be falling A LOT, so I made sure I was going to at least be warm up there

This jacket DEFINITELY lived up to its five star rating. My plan was to layer my clothes

As for the fit of this jacket, I'm around 5'9", 160lbs and a medium sized jacket fit me perfectly.

The cost of this jacket is another reason for my rating. The jackets I was looking at a national sports store were looking to cost me $300-$500. This jacket saved me more than half of what I was looking to spend. Very very happy with this purchase!

 If you're going to use a goggle pocket, great. Let's zip up my fly and let's zip up this jacket. And you know, I like the look of this. There's lots of room to get a glove underneath and you can seal it up pretty tight too

 This is the Burton Breach Jacket and it's a, you know, not super upper tier jacket, but

 you can see it's pretty decent construction quality.

 So like in terms of how it's put together, you don't see many flaws.

 So for this price point, it's about on par.

 It's, you know, maybe a shade behind a Volcom.

 Something's inside there, but usually you can put your phone and a credit card inside

 there on a leash so you can waterproof your phone and answer calls and be that annoying

 person on the chair or being that annoying person in the gondola who immediately doesn't

 want to talk, pulls out their fucking phone, just pretends you don't exist.

 But there's lots of extra room in there.

 If you've got the waist gaiter, it's fixed.

 A goggle pocket that doesn't even have an attachment.

 If you're going to use a goggle pocket, great.

 Let's zip up my fly and let's zip up this jacket.

 There's lots of room to get a glove underneath and you can seal it up pretty tight too.

 And you can get your mouth out and I can look left and right pretty well.

 It stops me, but I can do what I need to do to make sure I'm not hit or I hit other people.

 I love that at this price point you're getting fleece on both sides.

 I just, I just think personally like that better, but I know some people would like

 the slick on one side, fleece on the outside.

 I'm not seeing or feeling a pass pocket, so maybe it's right under here somewhere.

 So for RFID or scan, you can get a pass in there.

 So all in all, not a bad jacket for the price point.

 You know, it just checks every box and you know, the fit.

 That's a little, little tight here for my build.

Overall, although not a top performer on the slopes the style is sure to win plenty of people over.
