Label makers works great and prints wonderfully. Easy set up and use. The program for it is simple and self explanatory. WILL NOT PRINT 4X6!! I had asked before buying if this worked with usps click n ship and was told yes

 This was especially frustrating when moving from the Black/Red labels to Black only.  Once you print successfully using these presets I would save them to make it easy in the future. Once you pass the hurdle of setting it up once then this printer is fantastic (hence the 4/5 stars).  The only other gripe I have is that sometimes the labels will get stuck if I'm printing short labels less than an inch tall

 Plus, I would never use a full sheet of labels so I was constantly having to adjust cells so that my labels lined up. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to print PayPal labels, there isn't much documentation online of people using the QL-800 for this purpose, so I rolled the dice and ordered it. Now this little machine that's smaller than a loaf of bread takes the place of my big clunky printer. No more switching out label sheets in my printer, I only have the one roll of labels to worry about and that's it!

Will work with Mac but a bit finicky

 Have older phones, which I barely use and they got now a new purpose. Printing app doesn't allow to turn text 180 degrees, so that you could print a label like for a wire to be readable in both ways. I know that the desktop version can do that. I would have to contact BROTHER if they are planning on implementing that feature in the mobile app

It is nice to have, but I wouldn't recommend it, unless you really need it, since it prints the entire label slower = if you have to print many, larger labels you would have to calculate about 40% longer time

 Still printing fast, but not as fast as just in b&w. The app has lots of nice templates (now also for COVID-19) and works very intuitive. I mainly bought this printer to label wires for computer network and it seems like the the DK-2214 labels would do a good job for that. You might use a SCOTCH-tape to protect it and keeping it on the wire, but it is a good size label for labeling wires

For mobile usage: Turn OFF 'Editor Lite' on the printer

 It does it fast, it does it well. I didn't even install the printing software, just download the driver only from Brother and it was up and running. You can easily find the correct label sizes in MS Word and Ebay has an option to print out USPS labels in the larger size label that comes with the printer. At this price it will totally pay for itself in time saved in a about a month

 And the reason I chose Brother is because I have a cheap Brother Wifi Laser Printer that has been working for years with after-market toner and it never has a problem.

 The buttons on the keyboard are very clearly laid out and have a nice soft touch rubbery feel to them. The most impressive thing about the layout is how intuitive this labeler feels. There's almost no need for an instruction manual. On the right-hand edge, you have the cut button, which cuts labels to size once they're done printing

 It's very well designed, it's extremely easy to use, prints well, is priced right, and just works as advertised. Absolutely a great organizing tool to have around the house. However, if you're looking for a more commercial rugged label, we'd recommend the Rhino Pro series of labelers from Diamond. those are better suited to more commercial applications

 For the metric folks, the starter cassette is 10 feet long, but regular label cassettes are 23 feet long. The D1 label tapes are also available in a variety of font, color, background, color, and material selections.  The Label Manager 160 is about 8 inches long and fits comfortably in the hand. It's a little on the chunkier side, but it's still very much something you can carry around and use. The LCD display on top of the unit is pretty clear and readable. A backlight would have been a helpful addition, but at this price point, it's hard to complain

 Also, the feel of the Brother is better to me.  In the end I just feel the Brother is the better machine if you really want to do custom labels with fancy designs. It just has so many features. It's even easier to do things like print multiple copies of the same label

However, for people that don't want to really use labelmakers, the Dymo is more dummy proof and wastes less labels when printing individual labels. When I gave the Brother to my staff, I told them to print all their labels before cutting it

 The machine is designed to do 1 label at a time which means you type a label, you print, you cut. Then you type the next label, you print, and you cut. There is no advantage to typing multiple labels before cutting because there are almost no adjustable label options. If you only do one label or a few labels at the time, the Dymo is a great option

 I'm just going to go ahead and print this which I would imagine this is the print board. This is this and it should have now printed the label which it did, but it has got caught within here. Hope the tape, he's quite stuck here. No good stuff

 Yep, so that's where you'll put six triple-a batteries and then you've got this other cover here which is the top here. To get that off, you can also see you nine-volt to UM propose play and poplar that is with positive on the outside, not in the middle. So if you are using a just any power supply with this, please make sure the polarities right. otherwise you will damage the Machine The Porsche needs to go to the outside on this symbol and the power supply
