 The nice thing is the ability to use an app to design labels from your phone. But of course the minimal length setting in the app is an issue. So where does this decision take place? Is it in just an office meeting as simple as “Hey Harry, can you have it so on this label maker have the label spacing and something in the software to waste, I mean not have the customer have the ability to use an average of 63.4% of the label material

Every manufacture purposely designs their product to waste label material, toner and ink.

 6 AAA. There is easily room in the compartment for them to have gone with easier to find and longer lasting AA batteries, or even a rechargeable lithium battery. Ideally it would have been rechargeable and the included AC adapter would have kept it topped off so you could pick it up and go. A belt loop would also have been welcome so you could carry this and still manipulate your phone

 The software is mediocre at best. Even on a iphone 12 its a little laggy and setting up labels takes some work. It is possible to queue labels by saving them and then later selecting them and printing them all at once, but its not intuitive, and if you don't want to retain them more than the one print, its a bit of a hassle. I'd give the software a B-  In short its best to consider this a desktop printer, and if you like to move around and label on the go you should probably stick to one of the more traditional models

 So once I'm connected to it via the app I can go ahead and like this one here I just typed in, this is a test of the label printer. I select print and it prints it out. Once it's printed out what you want to do is you want to tear it this direction because that's the way the printer works. So then that way you can go ahead and get a clean tear on it

 So I'll go ahead and turn this on. Once that's on I can go ahead and come over here. And in the app I can select which printer I'm going to be using. And then I can connect to it via Bluetooth through the app

 We'll open it up here so we have our manual that comes with it. A little card here that talks about things. But let's go ahead and get the printer out. And as you can see it's very small and compact

 Now I used this QR code to try and download the app but it didn't work for me and then I made the mistake of not reading the app name carefully and just looking at the symbol, so I downloaded the wrong app, I couldn't get it to work and then finally figured out like the right app to download, so just make sure you pay attention, it is Printmaster, not phone memo, there is a phone memo app and I assumed it was that one because of the name of the machine but it's not, it is the Printmaster app. Now this only has two stars but I haven't had any problems with it and I just, I couldn't be bothered to register so I just went straight in and then connected it to my Bluetooth to start printing and that once I got the right app worked fine, I didn't have any problems, you just have to make sure that you allow the Bluetooth to connect. So that was quite simple, once I got the right app, so do be really careful that you don't make the same mistake I did, so look for the Printmaster app if you pick up this particular model. I will link it down below, so if you want to check it out online you can and you can see there as well it says Printmaster, so don't download the phone memo app, I'm assuming they have different brands of label makers and I just downloaded the wrong brand

 So when you go in to the app there's different screens, I just went into the easy mode, into the light mode, I'm sorry that my camera keeps focusing and unfocusing and I decided to go straight in and create my label. So as I'm labelling my drawers, I've organised my socks in different piles, my types of bras, my pyjamas and things like that so I wanted to create labels so I knew which drawers they were all in because the Alex drawers are quite tall and every day I kept going in and getting confused about what was in them so I thought that would make sense and what's really good is there's lots of different fonts as you can see which is quite helpful but I did make a little bit of a mistake because when I printed it off I realised that the label wasn't centre and that was really bothering me and I couldn't figure out how to get it centre and then I realised as you can see there it's like more to the right and then I realised when I was looking at it that you have to make sure that you select the right size of label in the app before you make it or it might not fit or it might come cut off so if you click label here it will say on the labels that you buy what size it is so it said there for me on like literally it was stuck on the label itself so I had to just make sure that I clicked the right one which is why it wasn't coming out centre so don't make that mistake and make sure that you install it quite carefully. You can see all the different labels there that you can buy but I just had the blank labels, I didn't want anything too fancy and then I tried it again and it came out centred so do just be careful that you do install the app with the right label size so that you don't have it off centre because that's just annoying. Okay so I downloaded the print master app from Quinn, we will open it and I guess we'll sign in with Facebook, or no we'll account register, register an account, register by email, register by phone, okay so I entered in my phone number after picking my country code and then it wanted me to supply a password but it would not accept uppercase characters or special characters, only lowercase letters which is a problem, but I did that, so we need to connect to your printer, so connect by using the app, allow, for better experience we need to connect to your printer, searching for the printer, okay it is on and it found it, so I'm going to select that, hit start, pair, alright so I'm going to go ahead and just try something real quick, tap here to connect to your printer, alright creation mode, light mode, check your template here, understood, okay so one click print, no that's not what I want to do, let me go back, light mode, alright so the reason I mostly got this is I wanted to label maker for quite a while and I got a new drone and the drone is required because it weighs over half a pound to be registered with the FAA and you have to display the FAA registration ID on your drone, so I got this for that, click here to select your label paper type, cut label, continuous label, okay cut, yep and the label was 14 by 30, so we'll select that and blank, look at all these different designs on here, we're just going to select blank and I guess select the check mark, now my content and I think I'm going to have to put two labels, one that says FAA registration ID and then the other label will have the actual ID on it, so we're going to try that, set the printing content of your label here, okay so FAA registration ID and I'll put a colon after it, alright so now, how do I tell it to print, I don't see anything obvious, oh it's right up there on the corner, okay connect to the printer, connected printer, printer found, well that's just printer management, printer found, tap to connect, tap to connect, template saved, okay what happened to my thing, let's try this again, 14 by 30 and blank check, oh there's a button down there for print label, I have to make the keyboard go away is what it was, I think FAA registration ID colon and now the letters are too big, so let me see if I can take this down a little bit, there we go, okay confirm, take away that, now print label is viewable, okay so it printed and let's see it's on the other side here, yeah that's right, so I should be able to just tear that off right there, probably easier with two hands, alright let's try something, so I tried it again this time I used two lines and for label setting instead of picking blank label I picked transparent label and I kept the size 14 by 30 and then I printed it and you can see the second time I tried this it did the same thing, it printed too far off to the beginning, off to the right of the beginning of the label and ran off, so without doing anything I just told it to print again and this time it printed it correctly, so hopefully it is all lined up now and we'll see.

 I also bought these high quality thermal labels from the same company, these are transparent labels and I really wanted some transparent labels, it says 14mm, and these are 12mm, so they might be a little bit wider, but supposedly they're able to work with this label maker, so we'll see. What else does this say here, can't get to focus on the thing, I think it was 13x40 and this is 14x30. So I don't know about the charge, I went ahead and plugged it in, it's a micro USB slot, has a little place for a lanyard, but a lanyard did not come with it, it just clips closed and a single thumbnail there will open it, very simple outside package, you hold it for two seconds to turn it on, and then you can print.
