Brother P-Touch Cube Plus PT-P710BT vs Brother P-touch PT70BM

I can figure out most new technology with no help, or am able to find the resources when I do need help. My first impression of this label maker is that it is large; I couldn`t see myself taking this with me to work or a friends house. The other impression I had was, why is the tape so big? After setting it up, and connecting it to the Bluetooth on my phone, which was simple but would be difficult for someone tech-challenged, I was required to download two apps in order to print a label. Again, this limits its mobility, and I often found myself frustrated that I needed to get my phone and the "cube" together in order to print

My overall thought is I like this little label maker. It fits me needs perfectly since I don't make labels that often, but I dislike the drain o battery power making just one label can do. Even if the batteries are duracell of energizer, it does not make a difference on how long they last. I can buy another label maker for the cost of batteries

But it turns out that you can work around both of these issues by changing the setting that powers off automatically and make it stay on. Astoundingly you cannot do this through the app (either one, more on that later). Instead you have to plug the printer into a computer, download *another* dedicated app for changing settings, and fiddle it there.

I kept thinking about that. I had read in a user-review that somebody got an electronics repairman to look at his PT-70 and apparently the service-man cleaned up the ends of the batteries and the internal machine contacts with the eraser that's on the end of a wooden pencil. I kept thinking about that. When I install batteries, if I can get to the sides of them, I'll rotate them and squeeze them in and rotate them some more to try to get the best contact possible

Yeh!It uses up a bit more tape than I would like. DO I RECOMMEND IT?Overall, I liked using the label maker. The useful features, general ease of use, and its great aesthetic appeal outweigh the few cons. I would definitely recommend it

It’s done what I needed. It also to have some features that look fun. I’m on my way to being organized.

This one prints twice as fast as all my previous models. Its real easy to carry around unlike the much more expensive E550 that I used to use (I never used the keyboard anyway). My only gripe.

Lastly, when it comes to printing, this device is outright slow. But the P-touch PT70BM handles most label maker tasks at a fraction of the cost of much of the competition.

NO! The second one is doing the same thing! And I don't have any idea how to return this one! I like the keyboard setup better than the Dymo brand, but I can't keep throwing $20 at a time in the trash!
