Ah, Brooklinen, what a fantasy you've created through advertisements. My disappointment doesn't come from overall quality, but cost vs benefit. The first issue is these sheets barely fit my bed - just barely. If you have a mattress pad you might be challenged

These are a disappointment

The sheets are not as soft as I expected and not worth the money. While the fitted sheet was the right size there us no way tge flat sheet is fit for a queen. Way too small

When I first began buying Brooklinen in 2017, the fitted sheets fitted my 12" mattress quite well - taut, but not so tight that I couldn't put them on and take them off fairly easily. Now? Well, the set I just received this past week (same pattern, windowpane) is so loose I have to use those elastic straps to keep the fitted sheet on! This is ridiculous, especially for the price paid. Either they've changed manufacturers or they just don't care any more. I will not be buying again, nor recommending to anyone else (as I have done in the past)

But she insisted the only way they could do anything was to physically bring the sheets into the store. During a pandemic. L. Bean, not only would I be taking a gamble this might happen again (and next time around, I wouldn't have any sort of protection beyond one year), but the price has jumped by another $60. I am not comfortable shouldering that risk *and* paying extra for something that should've lasted many more years. 

 My whole household had them. My mother has a neck injury, so making her queen sized bed was part of my regular chores growing up, and each of our sheet sets were easily 10+ years old, in great condition, and buttery soft.

L.L. Bean percale cotton sheets, you've let me down. You were supposed to be the best, now what do I buy?

 I ordered the king set in latte. And they WERE perfect, right outta the box. Both my husband and I get hot even in winter, so prefer cotton bedding vs synthetics and blends. I was so excited to try these, that I put them on the bed right outta the box (came very nicely packaged)

The en-smallened bottom sheet still fits my mattress, as the set came out of the package sized to easily accommodate deeper mattresses and/or toppers and I have neither of these -- but folks who do have them, may be disappointed after laundering.  I'm a reasonable person and a small bit of shrinkage and wrinkles is something I can live with, but c'mon - for the price I just plain expect better, especially when I still have cheaper sheets I bought years ago from discount stores that never had these issues. And I have neither time nor inclination to iron my bedding, even if wrinkles were the only problem
