I have only used one completely before it tore up. The last one I got I did not use right away and did not know it was broken until I needed to use that size label. I have purchased 4 different labels and all but one arrived broken or loose springs (inside the cartridge) or something causing it to not print, or quit printing all of a sudden. These cartridges are not inexpensive like you find with some of the Brother or Dymo

There is a lot to like about this unit. It's sturdy, the labels are the best in the industry, it's pretty easy to do basic labels. It just has so many features. It's even easier to do things like print multiple copies of the same label. However, for people that don't want to really use labelmakers, the Dymo is more dummy proof and wastes less labels when printing individual labels. When I gave the Brother to my staff, I told them to print all their labels before cutting it

Had to fix the old one because this new one I bought is not good. The display has terrible viewing angles compared to the old one. The keypad is soft and each key feels like it has a different mushy feel so you don't get any physical tactile feedback when you press a button - nothing like the old one. And to top it off, they changed the text font and it doesn't look as nice with more spacing between letters and the letters are smaller and more boxy

Replaces older DYMO for which tape cartridges no longer fit. Easy to change font size, but always ALL CAPS.

It looked sloppy. Then, I found the Brady system. It was way affordable and much, much easier to use and gave professional looking results. There are other (way) more expensive products that have similar self-laminating label makers, but the Brady printer at ~$93 is the best option

This LabelManager operates on batteries (not included). To operate on AC current, and adapter is necessary, which costs up to four times what I paid for the LabelManager. So, I wouldn't buy this item--pay a bit more and have the adapter included. Adding it later is too expensive
