 This seat is also not overly cushy, so it's not something that you'd see on a cruiser bike. But it certainly does have a nice amount of give in the seat area. This really is something I find that over a long, extended ride adds a lot to the comfort. I also like the overall length of the seat as well

 For comparison, that's like adding five quarters to my pocket as I'm riding, which to me is nothing. That's negligible. I have a lot of other ways where I could reduce five quarters worth of weight in terms of riding other than the main point of contact between my body and my bike, which is the seat. So to me, extra 30 grams is a no-brainer

 This really is something I find that over a long, extended ride adds a lot to the comfort. I also like the overall length of the seat as well. It is 275 millimeters long. The WTB Volt length was fine

 The Koda, actually, the length felt a lot shorter, and it felt too short. So all in all, I'm very happy with this seat. It's comfortable. It's not the lightest seat on the market

 Of course, saddles are very subjective, it's going to vary from person to person but I still highly recommend for you to try the WTB Volt saddle if you're in a market for a new one. The next thing I want to briefly touch on is general wear and tear. I have no complaints, the build quality of the Volt is superb, everything holds up really well. On some occasions I rode on it in rainy conditions and had no issues

 I have no crotch numbness when climbing like with my previous Brooks B17 which was one of the main reasons I sold it for the WTB Volt. And honestly I'm pretty certain that my search for the perfect saddle is over. It's really the most comfortable saddle I've ever owned. At the same time though I haven't really tried that many saddles, I've had the Specialized Power and the Brooks B17 and from my experience the WTB Volt is far superior than these two in terms of comfort

 With that being said, let's talk about comfort. The WTB Volt saddle is the most comfortable saddle I've ever owned. I'm not saying that after using this saddle for a couple of days, I've been using it for over a year with about 7000 km of actually riding it. It gives me barely any pain, of course on long rides there is some pain but that's going to be the case with any saddle in my opinion

 I weigh around 74-75 kg, I'm doing lots of climbing which puts a lot of pressure on my butt. On some days I can ride for 7-8 hours, I use well padded bib shorts and sometimes I also apply camoil cream on very long rides. With that being said, let's talk about comfort. The WTB Volt saddle is the most comfortable saddle I've ever owned

WTB VOLT after 7000km

 So radius was like right up in your coit It was always pushing up on my anus and I wasn't into that So I tried the Fabric Shallow. I put that, I actually got that from Whippets Workshop They've got a couple of the Fabric Saddles in for demo So you can take it take it for a day or a couple of days and and see what you think of it And that was really good this Fabric Scoop Shallow was really really good I thought that's probably the one I'm going to go for. It was tossing up between that and this WTB vault and Ended up going the WTB vault 142mm Medium cushioning and I've done a couple of rides on it. Today

 It's not overly long like the saddle itself isn't very long So it doesn't get in the way. It's actually a little bit shorter than there than the anvil forge that I had So it doesn't poke into my shorts at all. It just feels really really good, so the profile is excellent And look at it from the back It's just really good and the cushioning itself So if I can give you a little bit of a squeeze demo look at that Nice and soft all the way around so that's where I usually get the pressure Just there on that hammy or the adductor muscles, and it's just soft. It's soft It's gooey all the way through and doesn't feel like there's any pressure points at all so big thumbs up WTB vault I've ridden the Silverado didn't like it ridden the rocket I think the rocket the size of the rocket that I rode was a little bit small the WTB But this vault at 142mm

WTB Volt Saddle Thoughts

 I’ve ridden on rides as long as 2+ hours, on double, single & downhill.  Overall I’m very happy w/the WTB Volt. As long as it holds up, I’d have no issues w/spending more on one of the more expensive saddles made w/the lighter rails (cromoly or titanium, prob not carbon for $200+). I decided to go w/the steel because of price & have never purchased or ride w/any WTB saddle.  The Volt with metal rails is a good value, since at this writing the lighter rail options have marginal reductions in weight.  Comfort depends a great deal on how your hip bones are shaped and how long you'll be in the saddle. All I can suggest is what I did: buy the cheap one and try it out. If you think you might be sending it back, put one wrap of plastic tape around where you'll attach it to the clamp, and cover the seat temporarily with a plastic bag

 It's more narrow than the WTB web site tool recommended. It is a little different from the Rocket -- thinner, with more modern styling. I went on the WTB web site for sizing assistance. They have you measure your wrist to determine seat width. I have been riding a 148mm wide seat since 1993. WTB recommended 155mm for me
