Really like the look and the straight tapered fit is good for me. I am in my late forties and dont want to look like i am trying too hard to look like a teenager in skinny jeans..

u/thehang was super helpful and responded in like 45 minutes! He told me the stretchy jeans I'm measuring obviously arent the best. I asked if a 29 would work but he suggested a 30, especially to be safe. As the jeans don't expand much, if at all, in the thighs. I usually wear a 29 in most jeans (with room in the waist) so I figured 29 might work again

The thighs are a bit tighter, but I was going for a slim fit anyway. Men with a large butt and thighs may want to consider a different cut. The Weird Guy fit is a little odd; it's a tapered fit, so it tapers in at the knee. The rise is also pretty low, so you'll be wearing these around your hips instead of above them where you may be more used to wearing your jeans
