Bonavita 8-Cup Coffee Maker vs OXO Brew 8 Cup Coffee Maker

On this model (8 cup), the carafe (with the lid screwed on) won't sit on the maker under the filter basket. There's no hot plate so that shouldn't matter. You can just leave the filter "basket" in place until you're ready for the final clean-up, and set the carafe to the side. I love this coffee maker not only it is sleek but the coffee tastes delicious too when it comes creating a perfect cup of home-brewed coffee. I love the fact that it fits under my cabinet because of the modern design. It comes with clear instructions which are easy to follow. The double-walled carafe keeps coffee hot for long without compromising the taste

It's also fairly flimsy but it's also very cheap for an SCAA certified coffee pot so you can't be too upset. And it performs as well or better than pretty much anything else on the list without a ton of useless features. Overall, I'm very happy with it and I believe it's the best value on the market. If you want programmable, why buy an expensive coffee maker to drink stale coffee? That's mostly all you're paying for above the Bonavita until you get to the Moccamaster which is a tank but costs 3x more

In the future, I would probably buy a machine with a heated pad and glass pot. Value Issue This machine looks nice and is well built. I hope it will last a long time. But for me the price doesn't justify the quality or ease of use issues

I logged 3 hours and 31 minutes before coffee inside the pitcher dropped below 150 degrees Fahrenheit (66 Celsius). Still, it's a slightly shorter run than the 1900 which hung on to its heat longer (almost 4 hours). Brew time on this coffee maker is really quick and the temperature of the brewed coffee is excellent. This coffee maker is unique because unlike other coffee makers that will continue to heat your coffee once it is brewed, which contributes to strong tasting coffee, this machine shuts off once the brewing cycle has finished and your coffee stays hot inside the insulated carafe. I am proud to recommend this product to all my fellow coffee lovers who love a great tasting cup of coffee!
