 Since then the brand became trendy in the US, although I have never seen more people on Blundstones than in Israel where they seem to be the official boot. This particular ones are very comfortable but slightly bigger and wider than expected. These fit me a bit too big. They also are being a bit harder to "break in" than expected the "bend" of the leather at my little toe joint is, for some reason, not occurring at the correct point and this causes the leather to put pressure directly on that joint. Wearing them for much over an hour, so far, gets increasingly more uncomfortable. Hopefully, this will work itself out as the boots break in

The quality of the boots are good.

Blunstones always known to be good shoes but these ones were way too big for a size 10 they don’t look good they look very wide and too big for somebody who is size 10 so either it’s just me or I recommend getting a different size of a different style shoe.

I bought a sturdy pair of Red Wing boots that have ankle support, steel toe, and steel shank. Got them for about $175 on a holiday sale in 2016, bought the leather treatment/sealer with them for about another $15.

In several months I'll be looking at a slightly higher income than I've had previously. So far I've only been able to buy cheap products. I'm hoping to start a collection of items that have a lot of utility and last a long time. I.e. stuff that is worth spending the extra cash on because it'll last you many years and, ultimately, save you money over buying cheap stuff.

This is what I have so far: 

* Pots and pans
* Winter coats 
* Boots
* Vacuum cleaner 

Any suggestions of what to add? 

General and specific (e.g. specific brands or products) recommendations would be great.

I found these on sale at Bass Pro Shop one day and decided to go for it since I liked how they looked and I had heard good things about Red Wing/Irish Setter. At the time I didn't realize that the Irish Setter brand was made overseas, and I'm not sure if that would've impacted my purchase or not. I got another pair of Red Wing heritage boots a couple weeks after buying these so that I could alternate between the two pairs throughout the week, so they would each have a day to rest.
