Add in their interaction with the Dashcam Talk community, and this gives us a big confidence boost in recommending the B1W compared to other Chinese brands. So that's the end of this review, we hope you liked it

 In our previous picks, the camera would not be able to warn drivers when it wasn't recording. We read many comments where drivers only found out once they got into an accident, yikes. As all cards eventually stop working, the B1W gives much better protection versus our previous choices. Looking at video quality, we found a slight reduction in details compared to our former picks

 These notifications are in accented English, but it's mostly understandable. We're hoping this improves, as Blue Sky Sea has done a good job of taking feedback and making improvements to the firmware. One example is how quickly they fixed the firmware to detect failed SD cards. I have 4 broken cards, and only 2 would trigger a warning message

 We found a 3 minute file takes 3 minutes to download. Once setup was finished, we looked at how the B1W performs day to day. While driving, if you see something interesting or get into an accident, we found it was easy to lock the file from being overwritten by hitting the large lock button on the side of the camera.  I looked through the most recent footage and of course, the only thing that was recorded in my most recent drive was the footage taken when I was trying to connect it to wifi. The footage from the day before was there but it just skipped today's drive up until the moment I tried to connect to it. Maybe I had bad luck but if the dash cam skips moments to record, it is not reliable and therefore is useless as a dash cam.

 Got a 90 degree L-shaped cable. We got some accessories here, some extra adhesives, a small little installation tool. Let me open this up. This is typically for removing trim or helping you get your wires up in your headboard

There's no advanced features like Black View Cloud, but again, this is a $55 camera, and it is probably my most recommended camera at this price point, or I should say the cheapest camera I would personally recommend to people. And, you know, now that I was able to review it, I don't regret putting it on my top 10 list recently, because I think, again, for this price point, you are getting a lot

 These little cable clips, I normally don't use these. I have them on the back of my car, but you can use those adhesives to stick this somewhere along your car and keep the cable tucked in there, so that way the cable doesn't hang down or anything. We got a couple extra adhesives here. Let's double check the camera

 It was surprisingly not bad though. There's definitely some cameras out there that have poor night quality, and I thought this one was decent. It's definitely pretty much with any camera going to take a hit in quality during nighttime, but I would say, again, for this price point, I was pretty happy with this. Now, it is winter here in Minnesota, so I do have snow to deal with, so that's going to affect the exposure levels of my video, but that's just life for me

 It will spin round and round. So that's quite handy. You could, should you wish, have it pointed back inside the car to film what's going on in there. On the one hand there's the power input, the micro USB and also the slot for the micro SD card which can be up to 64GB

 So I'm going to put the memory card in first, then we'll plug the power in. The power will automatically fire up it to record it. If it's got a SD card, it does make a little announcement, say SD card found, recording or something like that and then you see the green lights will flash. So then we connect it with WiFi, a fairly standard dashcam password of 123

 Is it the best dashcam you can buy for £50? Now I can't be sure because I've not tested that many dashcams for £50 but to me it seems like a really good buy for £50. You know if you're just looking to spend a small amount of money to give yourself that little peace of mind that you know that things are being recorded, I think it's not a bad option.  The only condition where you will see quality degradation is when the sun is directly reaching the lens but even in that condition the A129 Pro Duos is doing well. With 4K the amount of details visible is much higher than 1080p and also thanks to the high bitrate you will need an SD card which is as large as possible and make sure to get something decent so that it wouldn't fail too soon. Thanks to the rather narrow optics there aren't too many distortions and this is less annoying than on cheaper dash cams. On the first sight the low light footage seemed a little overexposed to me, something which is also the case with my primary dash camera, the BlackVue DR900S but reviewing the files on the PC makes me feel comfortable because despite the poor lighting and the 4K sensor, the camera retains very good amount of details even when it is complete darkness

 And if you're worried about safety when you're not around the car and the dash cam being too attractive for robbers, you can easily unmount and take it with you. But that counts only for the front module. And also if positioned properly, you could use the rear module and its live feed on the display as parking surveillance.  Some people have the hard wired kit and say they can look through the dashcam when the car is off, but I can't confirm/deny that because I do not have the hardwire kit. I will take a battery pack with me and use it whenever I park in the city if I want to be extra cautious.  Audio: Worth a mention, the microphone used in this product is pretty good. It picks up the higher notes of music, so if you have a bass heavy sound system, you are still able to hear, and wont get drowned out by the bass

 The rear dashcam is unfortunately 1920 by 1080p, and does not have the best bitrate in my opinion. This is probably to save space on the card, but for $250, you have to cut corners somewhere. You will have to check your car for the right size fuse taps

 When installing take a black sharpie or some kind of marker and under the red plastic that you peel off to stick the cameras on the windshields you will see a white strip, color this black first, lest you have a white line you will clearly see through your window. This strip is there to make peeling off the red plastic easy its not sticky where its white. You can guess how I know this.  Next tip you will need to buy more stuff or will want to

 When trying to keep the dash cam up and out of my view, the only good spot I could mount the camera also happened to be right behind my rear view mirror. While this doesn't completely limit my ability to adjust the rear view mirror, if the unit were 1-2mm thinner then it would be a non-issue. Small complaint for an otherwise great dash cam for the price.

Great little set, but could be a bit bulky for your car.
