When we tested the mic's intelligibility against a bed of loud music playing through near-field monitors, it performed well in the sense that we could always understand every word we recorded for reference. Obviously, this kind of stress test is intended to expose the headset’s weaknesses, so if you’re in a scenario that is as loud as rock music blaring from speakers just a few feet away, the result will sound something like the music getting squashed and reduced to a thin static, while your voice also gets a little squashed, but is the only intelligible part of the signal the mic picks up. In this type of situation, there’s always going to be some distortion, but again, we could understand every word that was spoken, even if the audio was less than pristine.

The Jabra Talk 45 Bluetooth Headset is the best headset for truck drivers at a budget level that we've tested. While it's usually a bit more pricy than other wallet-friendly headsets, its mic makes your voice sound clear and understandable, although slightly muffled. You can also wear the headset on either ear, and it has a stable fit, so it shouldn't fall out of your ear if you move your head.

The sound is garbled when I use it. Summary: This product is a very good product that accomplishes its primary purpose very well (though not excellently due to the reduction is noise cancelling as compared to previous models). The fit and finish, comfort, and features expected at this price point are a bit wanting. I will keep and continue to use these, once I find a way to mitigate the discomfort of the earpieces, but I will not purchase these again until some of the above mentioned issues are overcome

I made a post about it in the Bose [forum]([URL REMOVED] . Indoors the Bose QC work well; outdoors they simply pick up too much traffic noise and can't hold a candle to the Jabra Talk 35, jabra Talk 45 or Plantronics 3200.

The Good: It's held up better than Plantronics 5200. Sound quality is good. Noise canceling is pretty good. Reasonably comfortable and generally stays on my ear easily

The 45 is an awesome first pen, and a reliable workhorse. Good to see you saved it from the landfill.

The control buttons on the ear cup, though. It is quite difficult to distinguish which of the 4 buttons one is touching at any given moment, so it is easy to press the wrong button and, say, disconnect oneself while hoping one was turning up the volume. So I don’t think I would buy these again. They are almost good for the job, but not quite, and that not quite at this price point is just not good enough

Immediately, I returned it to Amazon since there was no point in spending the price of Stealth to get an inferior product.

Nice carry case (not a soft shell so that’s a plus). Love the option to run two muffs or one. Bluetooth range is pretty good, drive a day cab pulling a 55’ lowboy that even when I’m at the back empty or with our stump grinder on it, the headset stays connected when my phone is in the cab.

This thing has crazy battery life. Lasts for days under normal use. Only complaint I have it it doesn't have any voice commands to answer or tell you who is calling. I'm used to a PLT headset, but after having the quality and battery life of the BlueParrot it made it worth the sacrifice of the extras

This Jabra Talk 45 headset's battery kept dying on me within 15 minutes of use, so I thought it was defective. I would charge it, the charging light would go off after a few minutes, and no matter how long I left it plugged in, it never gained a full charge. I contacted Jabra consumer service about this, and they replied with an utterly ridiculous list of time-wasting troubleshooting steps involving turning my mobile phone off and on, resetting the headset, re-pairing the headset, updating the firmware, etc., and they capped off the e-mail by asking questions I had already proactively answered, and finally, "Can you reproduce the challenge by pairing your headset with another mobile device?" Seriously? It's a battery problem
