BLIZZARD COCHISE 106 | 2021 SKI TEST

 I have skied with this Cochise from from Blizzard 106 with. Hey there guys it's

 Nikki here again skiing at Norquay today and testing out some skis. Right now I've

 been skiing on the Blizzard Cochise 106. These skis on these conditions we're

 skiing on some hard packed groom type runs today. We've had colder weather so

 the snow is quite fast. These are a hard charging ski. A much needed update of the

 of the Cochise Bullrider Series ski. We're talking about a ski that's a

 little bit more playful than it used to be. A little bit more, I don't know, black

 pearl-ish. It holds an edge really well. It's surprising on piste. It hasn't lost

 its ability to hard charge but it's a little bit more forgiving. This

 particular ski is in a 177 length. I'm 5'9 and I weigh 170 so for me this was a

 good length. I definitely wouldn't want to go any longer. If if you're skiing on

 conditions like we had today it's cold and the snow is fast. These are definitely

 a ski for someone who has some technical capability who likes to ski fast. What

 I'm finding with the Blizzard line is that they make one tool for each job.

 Very well but it's quite specific. So this particular ski wants to go fast and

 with being a 106 underfoot wants to float. I'd love to try these skis out on

 the day when there's some fresh powder and really bomb down the hill. It's quite

 interesting ski. They are quite stiff in the stiff in bending and in torsion so

 you get a good control on the groomers. So they see that you can push it. You have

 a good bounce back, a good response. The old Cochise was hard to ski on. This is

 not. This is a lot more fun, a lot more playful. Think the Cochise with

 Tiptronic transmission. It's a little bit more, it's more fun to ski at the end of

 the day whereas the old one was like at the end of the day like I'm done. This

 one here, my friend Alexander's been using it as his pick for the last ski of

 the day and it's not a ski that you would have picked last year but this

 year you can. I also noticed that they are a little bit less responsive that

 the tail end of the ski doesn't want to whip around in the end of the turn. Quite as

 much as my personal preference would say but if you want to charge hard and you

 want to ski fast and you have the skills to back it up then definitely check out

 The couple things I will say about this is, first of all, reiterate that this is not a

 ski for a beginner, this is not a ski for an intermediate, this is a ski for a strong

 skier who's very comfortable being forward on their ski and driving it.

 This ski is not gonna respond to you sitting in the back seat, or being on your tails

 at all, or just being a little bit more timid.

 It does need you to tell it where you want it to go, so yeah, expert skiers, check this

 If you are not a strong skier, this ski is going to be very difficult for you to control.
