The BlackVue DR750X that is sold now is the DR750X-2CH Plus. I believe the non plus is now discontinued. The BlackVue DR750X-2CH Plus has built in parking mode. You do not need an external battery or any extra equipment for parking mode to work

Is $950+ worth it for my dashcam?

Okay video quality. It has more glare than my old camera. I ordered a CPL filter to hopefully help with the glare. You can no longer format your memory card while in the dashcam

 The DR750X Plus is also capable of recording when the car is parked and powered down. Just like the DR750X, the X Plus can be connected straight to the fuse box with the BlackVue hardwiring cable that comes standard in the box. Parking recording is pre-buffered which means that for all of your motion or impact detected parking mode incidents, you're going to get the five seconds before and the five seconds after of the entire incident. Now because the DR750X does come with voltage monitoring just like the X before it, that means that it's automatically going to shut off if your car battery falls below a certain voltage

And yes, like we said before, if you're upgrading from the S to the Plus and you've got a Power Magic Pro in your car, you can still reuse that because it's completely compatible with the X Plus model

 The good news is your development team cut corners by taking the the lazy way out and saved a few bucks. The bad news is I'll never buy another product from you again because it should just work for what it cost me.

  Setting it up on my device was where is all fell apart. It's a case study in half-assed app that should have gotten a few people fired from the product team.  I spent as much time monkeying around in my phone's wifi and the app settings as I did running all the cables and hiding them, and it still doesn't work. I restarted the camera, the phone, connected and reconnected to the camera via wifi, but the app doesn't connect and I cannot change settings or download videos

Garbage app, difficult to set up, buyer beware

 Do I have to have both the “BATT” and “ACC” wires terminated? Doesn’t really make sense, but I give it a shot. BINGO! If there had been a mention somewhere, ANYwhere about this, I would’ve saved hours on my installation and I would’ve given a positive review. Or if the customer service phone line was manned and I didn’t get a busy signal, same thing. Or if the phone number were displayed properly so that I was sure of getting the correct number, same thing

 I would buy this again, because I now know what steps and extras I need to purchase in order to be able to install it. I received the camera, read the guide that came with it, and went to the garage to begin installation. After mounting the cameras and running the wiring, I was now ready to actually wire the camera up to power. I did a quick test with the supplied cigarette lighter power cord and all was good

 Again, very happy with the camera. If you took the time to read this rather lengthy review, your installation should go very well and maybe you can give a positive review. Just hope that you don’t need customer service!

I like the garmin tandem for its 1440p and 30fps with super capacitor however I don’t need or want dual facing since I don’t need in cab video.  Well, since it's hard wired with a parking mode cable, that is a little easier said than done.  I really wish I had gone with one of the Chinese brands instead of this one. Garmin is a well-known and respected brand that you would expect to make a high-quality and solid product. They really should be ashamed to release a product this bad

 Anyway all good as far that goes. Using the app is simple, and it worked perfectly so far. Nice to be able to view an event directly on your phone without having to remove the card , Wifi, or even take the camera from the dash- like some dashbcams that are adhesive mounted, what good is the screen them?? Anyway also like the very compact size. A bit pricey, but I haven't any others with the Bluetooth feature

Got the app and paired it to the phone. Have to do that in the car apparently, not just plugged to the computer. Anyway all good as far that goes. Using the app is simple, and it worked perfectly so far

Great camera

Over $300 camera, without a rear camera (even though you are able to add cameras through the app), not even a tool to push your wires through the panels like any other cheaper cameras out there, only 720P resolution for the inside, which my $200 cheaper VAVA 2K has 1080P, lousy Wi-Fi, keeps going in and out, asking you to join every minute – RIDICULOUS, not even a booklet for BASIC INSTRUCTION how to operate the camera – UNBELIEVABLE, that every other electronic device/dashcam out there gives you even if you need to update it later on (that's what they claim as an excuse, so what?!). Easy to use and easy to install, and even Great Idea for the future of dash cams, but way too GREEDY AND OVERPRICED dashcam, definitely NOT RECOMMENDED for this CRAZY PRICE.

I find answers in different places too, that is just dumb and can be corrected. -the PIP position for exported videos needs to be a hard set option, not every time

Mostly good but for the Android app.

 It has the voice and save button right there on the little camera which my last cam didn't have at all and its a veryyyy essential feature to record key events quickly. I only had for 1 day and its exactly what I wanted, I will update review if anything comes up.  **edit**  This dash cam quality is too low! It cannot pick up plates unless your not moving and right behind the other driver. It works well with the interior and exterior camera views as well as audio but the quality just doesn't make up for it

 If it cannot, the live view won't work for you (since bluetooth can't stream that much data) and you might not be able to update as well. Not sure if it works on iPhone but I previously had a iPhone 6S which always had wifi direct working.  If you run a hotspot on your phone wifi direct will also be disabled, I use it on a wifi tablet which gets the hotspot signal from my main phone so that WILL work. Wifi has to be on for wifi direct to work

 This one records the front and back and takes the old school microUSB (sadly not USB-C). It comes w/ a 16gig microSD card (ADATA) which I replaced for my microcenter 32gig card and the app works well.  Now here's the tricky part since I seen some bad reviews. The camera connects to your Android device using bluetooth yes, but to it work fully with the app you need WIFI-Direct

 Its less than 480P quality, better off getting something else. Its way too expensive for such low quality video. Very disappointed. Far away shots and moving shots, it just doesn't do it! I say this because it had trouble picking up plates of someone who caused an accident

  The real problem is that i've noticed the camera turning off and getting hot while being used. Avg temperatures are mid 80s where i live, which I admit is a bit on the hot side, but i have ceramic G5 tinted windows that block 85% of heat, and in my opinion, i don't think those are extreme conditions by any means.  The camera has only shut off twice and i only use it for 3-5 hours at a time and only 3-4 days a week. I expected better from the build quality, it's honestly kinda pricey and lacks many features VS the competition
