BlackVue DR590X-2CH vs Viofo A129 Duo

Don't get the BlackVue DR590X-2CH, unless you've got a PC to connect it to, each time you want to format the SD card. If you're not using the overpriced BlackVue SD card, then formatting is necessary before the first use. I finally found a PC that I could use to format the SD card, but the dashcam still didn't like it. I got the Viofo A129 because it does well in the heat. Make sure your memory card is rated for hot climates, too.

Sub $50 home security cameras have equal or better video quality. And face it, that's all these "Dash Cams" are - security cameras mounted into a car. They all come with the camera, a power wire, etc. The only difference is that one has GPS (which does not cost $150

Just bought a new `21 Ram, and installing this is just as easy as all other before. The adhesive they use works good at sticking to the tint on the windshield and back glass, and can withstand the 100F deg temps they we very often get in the summer here. As before, will buy again.

NOTE: Change the power adapter. It's recommended that you use the one in the box. The prior one might have a lower power output, and this might compromise device functionality. Rear camera installation: I strongly recommend you install the front camera first and then attach the rear camera, use your Phone to check the back camera framing (that's why it's important to setup the camera and app at home first before installing in your car, you'll be able to learn all of this), and attach the thick cable in both cameras and power everything so you can check angles first

This is the second DR90 I've bought. First was for myself and this is the second (for my daughter). Love the new built in voltage sensing for parking mode. Provides a great front and rear view video

I'm really hoping Viofo listens to customers input and with a few well thought out firmware and software changes this Viofo dashcam could be even better! I will update this review once the CPL filter and the three wire hardware kit is available and I'm able to use it with the parking mode. As is usual with reviews don't take my word for it. Check for yourself, compare my comments to others, read about it on other forums and then make your own decision that you have verified will work for you! All in all from what I have seen so far (pending on how the things mentioned above perform) I would buy it again.

The camera is very low quality, and for its price I expected much better. The rear camera did not work, when I opened the box the camera looked used and had dust particles all over it, the app is outdated. I bought two garmin dash cam mini’s and they work 100x better. Also my return to this specific company so far has taken over a week, I returned my item on april 22nd and it is now may 5th? Do better
