To warm and comfortable hands and fingers. The First generation Solanos kind of reminded me of 60s era transistor radios..

These are neither (I mean, they are still mitts), plus they're warm and really nice looking. Mine are medium and they fit great; I'm typically a medium or large in women's handwear. My only complain is that sometimes snow gets in at the cuff unless I've remembered to velcro them tightly.

The gloves are too tight to go over jackets and too bulky to go under. The cuff sort of sits uncomfortable neither in nor out. The on/off switch glows in the dark which looks odd.

I didn't think I'd like these because of the glove liner. Somehow I was expecting a mitten liner. So far they've been warm enough for me during snowshoeing at 5 degrees.
