I'm 5'6 and 135 with not much of a chest. I got the XS and it's perfect! Room to cinch or uncinch. I have a competitors womens vest and had the trail vest/pack they do. The issues I had with the trail vest were solved by this bag completely (and by my dog chewing the zip so I had to replace it)and I feel like the fit is more comfortable than the race vest!

I ended up returning both, since a 19" size would have been my preference due to airline restrictions. If I were to keep one, I would have kept the S/M due to the shoulder strap placement making the pack ride more comfortably. I am 5'2" and according to the Osprey fitting chart with my torso length either size would work.

It feels like I am running in a super comfy vest, not a backpack loaded with extra layers

Though I haven't used it for anything extensive like a 20-day hike, for walking in cities, in transit, and hiking, I've really liked it and it's been comfortable for me. It doesn't have a camera compartment but I usually carry 2 SLR cameras with me and it's worked for me!
